It's also great to see the taters in the actual manga itself, not just the cover, even if they are just background characters. (Also Chii telling Yuu to greet properly was cute)

Seeing the themes of sadness/hopelessness/depression show up again makes me wonder if Tsukumizu is going to make this story about trying to get along with hopelessess too, just like GLT.

Honestly overall I didn't know what to expect from SS, and I still don't, but I think it's shaping up to be great like GLT.

Probably an issue with the magazine choice I guess? I still don't know why the fuck it is in CUNE of all places.

What's wrong with it, other than the fact that it almost sounds rude in English?

I haven't read anything else from CUNE, but I believe it mainly just does yuri 4-koma stuff, basically nothing serious also it's not that popular, but I'm not an expert I could be wrong.

Same happened with SSR, I think the only thread I saw about it was when it got an anime then it became super popular.

To be honest, I watched and then read SSR after it had already concluded, so I don't know how popular it was back then, but nowdays when a SSR thread pops up they seem to do alright, considering the manga has concluded some time ago now.

It's too soon to speculate and I've no clue how well it's doing in Japan, but do you guys think in like 2 years time when more chapters are out (hopefully tkmiz keeps going) an anime could happen? Having Tsukumizu's name behind the manga has to give it some credibility, right?

You're right, that is a bit fishy

It's possible; it looks like a couple of series from Cune have gotten anime before, so if it's popular, Shimeji Simulation could get one-- possibly when they start releasing the standalone volumes for the series.

Considering the rate of releases, though (10 pages per month), it will probably be many years down the line. For comparison, they adapted around 600 pages from SSR to make the 12 episode anime. It will take 5 years for SS to have that many pages. Although the two manga have different formats, and 4koma manga tend to get expanded on a lot when they're animated, so it could happen much sooner.

5-minute anime also exist. This format would probably fit it pretty well.

Probably not hell-- maybe purgatory. But more likely, this is an alternate universe where Chito and Yuuri just happened to be born earlier in history.

Either way, it's a neat cameo. I hope they show up every now and then throughout the series at least.
