I don't honestly think it's that spoiler-y at this point, I'm watching the series with my anime only brother and he doesn't really get whats happening in OP.
Though I guess once it gets to the point where Polnareff introduces the beetle arrow/concept of requiems most people will piece it together, but by that time it'll basically be the final battle already so even if you know Gio's going to get a requiem you'd mainly just be looking forward to it.
Plus that cliffhanger part where the reader is made to think that the arrow didn't work will subvert it, even if its just for a little bit like Doppio's introduction.

It's less of an issue now but once Polnareff explains the requiem arrows ability everyone will be able to piece it together themselves whats happening in the OP.
Like says though at that point it's already the finale so people will just be looking forward to it more than anything else.
