Chapter 29: Shikirinaoshi
FUCK HIM UP SUKUNE
He's already lost. That's pretty much it for him now.
End chapter.
And this.
End transmission.
Jobkune BTFO
The odds of this guy being a match for Yujiro are precisely zero if Baki can give him so much trouble
Well yujiro would refuse to use any sort of tricks he would try to out brute force him, imo
At first, sure. But, if he somehow couldn't do it, he'd just kick Sukune in the dick and xiao lee-flip around until he'd won.
baki you done fucked up now son
it's coming don't worry.
What a chad
Sukune Dou
is he going to be another Ali Jr. ?
Is Oliva gonna be okay?
he's japanese so no
He's dead user, you gotta let him go.
Kozue watch out
>breaking ribs killing giga nigga
Hanayama survived a sniper rifle shot to the head
ITS BEEN THREE YEARS YOU GOT TO MOVE ON
Kato and Igari survived getting the everloving shit beaten out of them and then having their throats slashed with no one nearby to provide medical assistance for hours.
And Suedou got thrown off a rollercoaster. And Pickle had his body carved to pieces.
Why is it so fucking hard to find a torrent of the original series? Everything on Nyaa is dead.
Do you mean manga or anime? Because I read that some of old manga chapters are not property translated.
Manga.
>I love fireworks too
Why are they so unlikable?
So why is Retsu still dead?
because he refused to stop, even when given like 5 separate chances to avert being killed in the same fight
Thx master!
Wonder if they'll reveal that they did try to do the same trick they used with musashi but retsu's soul refused to come back.
Always welcome.
Because Itagaki needed a sacrifice to show that Musashi is serious business.
thanks translator-kun
And also to...
stew! my apologies.
Would people care if it's guys like Kureha that bit the dust or only the top-tier guys would gain any sympy?
Why is Baki so comfy?
I think that's exactly what Itagaki was concerned with. The way he put it in the interview, it felt to me like the decision to replace Motobe with Retsu was also made because Motobe didn't have enough narrative significance to warrant any major reactions from either the characters or the readers. He didn't say anything explicitly along those lines, but it feels fairly apparent from how he glossed over his original plans.
Wonder how many of the b and c-cast musashi could've killed off before people will care?
kek
>Sukune has a sumoplane
Thank you both for the dump.
>No wholesome Yuichiro grandad moments
>You'll never see old Yuichiro being happy as fuck to have two grandkids
Hold me brehs
wonder how christmas would be like for those two as kids with santa yuichiro
Yuichiro seems like the type of super chill grandpa who'd spoil the shit out of the kids and stay up all day to play with them, he'd probably also do it to piss off Yuujiro for good measure.
I'd really like to have some flashback moments with him and young Yuujiro and see how did he let him become the jaded asshole he is now, Yuujiro did say they were complete opposites, I think there's some potential for a good flashback arc to develop Yuujiro's character a fair bit, but obviously Itagaki will never do it.
wonder if yuichiro dies from natural causes or other things while yujiro never gets to beat him.
he'll be eternally frustrated to never have settled the score.
>I think there's some potential for a good flashback arc to develop Yuujiro's character a fair bit, but obviously Itagaki will never do it.
I don't know about that. I think Itagaki will do it when we next get back to Yuujiro in the narrative. Whether that will happen in this Sukune arc or in whatever comes after, I don't know. But I do believe that it's more likely that Itagaki will want to go into a full-on, in-depth Hanma arc after Sukune's story - to allow Baki to have a final, even more meaningful fight against his father, with all the themes fully explored instead of merely touched-upon. It's a logical conclusion to the 'Dou saga': Musashi was a god with no ancestry. Sukune is a god with a 2,000-year ancestry. The Hanma, we know, have an ancestry of at least 4,500 years. And Motobe told us that Yuujiro is now identified by the public as a god.
As I'm writing this, it occurs to me that Itagaki might even cap the series off with the revelation that the Hanma are the oldest, strongest fighting bloodline in human history; the identity "the strongest" a trade and tradition passed down from pre-antiquity. Would that surprise any of you?
Does this means he lost conscience for a while ?
this was pretty fucking gay
A self-recorded positive affirmations tape for little Jack, and a ticket for one serious match with his grandfather for little Baki.
it rattled him but i don't think he was out this time.
>Pickled Hanma ancestor when?
Pretty sure Sukune just tanked through the hit without fainting, he knew it was coming this time and could prepare, though it still was a tough nugget judging by how shaky his legs are.
So I'm sorta new to the Baki manga, I noticed there are 2 stories going on at the moment? The one with the samurai guy and the one here with the summo guy is that correct? Are they both being updated? Which is first?
Holy fuck Jack looks so sweet
Musashi's manga (Samurai) is the first, it is already out. The new one is about sumo (2018). It is ongoing
Baki dou is first and it's finished but still being translated
Baki-Dou 2018 is sumo and is currently being released
The sumo-themed Baki Dou is the ongoing series.
Musashi Dou comes directly before it. It's finished, but we haven't finished scanlating it. This is because, while it was ongoing, all of the team members save for myself and the cleaner dropped out - repeatedly. There was like an eight month-long period during which I aggressively tried to recruit to little avail, and then we suddenly got a spring of new members willing and surely able to help. Around that time, the sumo Baki Dou began serialization. So, we're playing catch-up with Musashi Dou while staying abreast of the new series.
Head Canon that it was Yuchiro that taught Jack to bite to annoy Yujiro
Ok thanks, cause the last chapter I stopped at was Musashi scrapping Hanayama so do you know where I can read the rest, even if it's not translated? Heck I just want to see if someone puts Musashi in his place or not
Stop posting garbage.
What sound effect is this supposed to be?
This is really strange because it is already translated in my native language.
dodododododo
also read: thud thud thud thud thud thud thud thud
You posted the same thing
No, I didn't.
Filthy animeonly here. Would like to ask, in the deadly prisioner arc in the manga, are the "villains" as underwhelming as in the show?
I mean both in fighting and in presence. The only one who was actually menacing was Dorian, and he went actually insane.
I legitimately never liked the Prisoners Arc as much, despite everyone else seeming to. The stuff in between the fights just weren't that interesting and there aren't actually that many fights in it period + cool characters from the Maximum Tournament arc showed up simply to immediately job which was lame. Majority of the prisoners were lame in the manga too imo.
Anime is the same as manga in this arc, but with sound
Exactly the same as in the manga.
Who has the best backstory?
>Gifted child trapezest
>Tamed the lion which killed his father
>Adopted by Karate master
Is Itagaki going somewhere with him creating a one-armed martial art or what
probably not, seems like katsumi being an active part of the cast is done for the most part.
When was the last time we even saw Katsumi?
>Is Itagaki going somewhere with him
I doubt Itagaki even remembers Katsumi at this point.
He's present during musashi vs. baki iirc
