It’s better to get the characters that people know and love and to make the most fun episodes they possibly can and have the fights be entertaining not because they’re furthering the plot but because the characters fighting are interesting themselves.

How does your logic work? I prefer Railgun, but the anime adaptation is just shit.

I have a feeling the magic side portion of this fanbase is going to try and make fun of the Railgun anime even if it’s the best series ever created to get revenge because Index three was legitimately bad.

It ain't expected; it is known. Everybody here, everybody else in the fandom, and everybody outside looking in (whether they admit to it or not) knows that Railgun is the only shit the producers truly gave a fuck about. I don't know about the Accel anime yet, we'll wait and see? But Index? Let's not kid ourselves here, we've been following this franchise for more than a fucking decade.

Index was gonna be shit from the first place, and "they" expected it as such. They gave it a mediocre director who's main expertise is fucking comedy? Let him take a jab at directing science fiction-fantasy story? Where the fuck was the Shana director in all of this? Jacking off to Shana? And then it had to compete with Toradora, which was ironically directed by the guy who would direct Railgun. Sure he was more of a drama director, but what he did with those 12 episodes were fucking great, and he played it well especially during Railgun S. Jesus Christ, if anyone doubts the fact that the producers give a bare minimum to Index, remind them that they thought it would be a fucking great idea to squeeze 9 volumes in 24 episodes before the director begged them to give him 2 more. What an absolute shitshow the anime franchise has become. The fact that it got Railgun as a show shows how memorable/loveable these characters are, especially or even because of Misaka not because of the faith they had in the story or plot of Index.
