Anti-magic is unheard of blasphemy that nobody knows how to counter, especially because Asta can keep up with fast attackers due to his endurance and strength training. You're missing the point. Anti-magic counters everything but so far we haven't seen a single magic that couldn't be countered in other ways as well. Even Gueldre's intangibility could be bypassed and Ladros' absorption could be overloaded. This seems like the first enemy that can only be defeated by the main character's unique power and by nothing else, which feels cheap. Hopefully Tabata will reveal some additional weaknesses to it in the upcoming chapters.

The problem is that no other magic power seems to be able to do it since it just absorbs everything. This is a huge issue in a series that just recently emphasized the importance of matchups and compatibility. A magic that only has a single one of a kind weakness is absurd, which is why I hope Tabata is not going to take that route.

I can see why you would interpret it like that if you didn't read the response chain, especially since I only mentioned the absorption aspect. I don't actually have any issues with anti-magic, since like you said it's fairly balanced because Asta can't keep up with everything and because there are ways around it. My issue is that this new magic doesn't seem balanced at all so far.

Again, my issue is with this new magic. Wevil didn't have this magic in the past so Licht and/or the FWK only managed to get around word magic. So far it seems like this new magic doesn't have any weaknesses outside of anti-magic. I'm hoping that Licht's swords might be able to get around it as well since they seem to be physical objects, although I guess they might not have been like that before the grimoire was corrupted.

It removed the poison and also the effects of Ecra's magic because the magic in their bodies was causing the effects. It does not heal injuries caused by magic. I mean do you think Asta could touch Fuego's stump and regenerate the arm that Patri's magic cut off? Jack was close to Fana's room so he's either number 4 or 5. Nozel, Rades and Valtos were close to the hidden room so they're among numbers 1-4 as well. Yami was close to Licht's room so he's either number 1-4 or 5. Charla probably hadn't arrived yet at this point and neither had Yuno or Charmy. Gueldre and Revchi are undetectable but they likely weren't inside at this point yet either.
