Agreed, it's one of the few adaptations I've seen that actually use CGI for artistic means instead of using it to cheap out. I seriously hope we get a second season some day.

Any CGI that isn't really subtle is extremely obvious even in really high budget movies. I don't think we'll ever get to a point where CGI blends in 100% with live action visuals.
