To be fair the very concept of being isekaid is so fantastical that I would assume a total lack of magic to be less likely than having it exist. Also some of his assumptions are reasonable leaps of logic - such as that someone must have purposefully take him, and thus he has a reason to be present. That said, it is very much his familiarity with isekai stories that convinces him things ought to progress in a certain fashion, and his entitled attitude exacerbates his conviction that he be spoonfed his magical adventure right out the gate. On the other hand his quick acceptance of the context allows him to skip the confusion and jump right into familiarizing himself with the world.

She might have had some hope that he would reciprocate, and being denied certainly saddened her, but she knew he loved Emilia. What was more important to her was that he not give up on the people he cared about. She would rather stand by the side of the Subaru she loved than be romantically involved with a Subaru who had given up what she loved about him. Additionally, after everything he did it would be a blatant lie to not say he loved Emilia, so he was being honest and faithful; not doing so would have shown nothing more than a lack of resolve.

Also, read the novels - either version - and it becomes clear that he does in fact love Rem. I won't make any qualifications about how much in relation to Emilia, but it's not like this and other moments didn't make him fall in love with her as well.

As it turns out, being nice to someone won't grant you their adoration. This is shown by Subaru's immense fuckup a couple episodes prior, which was thought to be well-deserved for him by anyone who watched it. Then, the same happens with Rem and Subaru, and all the brainlets on here freak out, exposing the hypocrisy.

Let me correct myself a bit. You kinda always dislike a character that you think is bad. So people will always say "This character is bad, therefore I don't like him". But it doesn't have to be the other way around. I don't like some characters yet I don't consider them bad.

That was an extremely unrealistic part of the series. No girl would have wasted their time with Subaru after being rejected with "I love another girl". Especially not a very pretty girl who could get practically any guy she wanted.

That is just not how people work. It would have been fine if Rem had been a yandere and gone full stalker mode after, but she was never that kind of character. Nor is there any real reason for someone to love Subaru...he's not handsome, rich, particularly fun or interesting to be with, nothing at all. He's in a position to rub shoulders with powerful nobles, but he's technically a servant so there's nothing attractive about that.

See I'm usually okay with "armchair psychology" for fictional stories - with people attempting a reasonable analysis without technical qualification - but you're not being remotely reasonable. She isn't just "attracted" to him in a shallow sense, her love stems from a variety of other feelings. She feels indebted and appreciative, she idolizes him as her hero, and as the other person pointed out she has a dependency issues - just to name a few.

And regardless of her reasons, her love for him manifests as "selfless love" (in quotes because it's not as though she expects nothing in return) - that is, she has a genuine desire to see him happy and to be by his side in spite of rejection. Her love for him exists independently of his reciprocation - and he does, in fact, reciprocate, he just chose not to lie to her or himself about his motivations or to weaken his resolve.

Additionally, and though I feel the first paragraph stresses this enough it must be said again, she doesn't want "practically any guy". Even if her feelings deteriorated with time, in the moment she was wholly in love with Subaru. This wasn't an "any dick will do" kind of situation.

She's not actually in a Coma, her soul doesn't reside in her body (which sucks since she didn't get to hear all those times Subaru talked to her). Her soul appeared in front of Subaru and yelled at him a bit in one the latest chapters but she's still "asleep".

if you really want to give the series another chance, don't watch the anime (or read the manga, they basically are the same thing). A lot of the series is what happens inside Subaru's head, his monologues, emotions, trauma, etc and the anime misses out on most of that making it hard to understand him and his behavior.

They ruined it at the castle fight when he made an ass of himself in front of everyone and challenged that noble knight. His development was getting pretty good and he just did a 180 right there and went back to being a shithead, no it doesn't get better. He never goes back to how he was before the castle.

In that case, you'd probably want to nab the Witch factor which grants the Authority of Lust, Sloth or Greed, but that'd require to kill the previous holder which means you'd have to slay an Archbishop yourself, Sloth is at least manageable but the others are monsters with a few of them surpassing the Great MaBeasts in lethality.
Arc 6 is centered around fixing the effects of Gluttony, and the Gluttony Archbishop (the True one) resides within the tower, specifically the hall of memories Rui Arneb, A blonde crazy loli that detests fate and thus consumes the lives of others to derive joy from it, but she's absolutely insatiable in this desire, She doesn't want Subaru's memories, she wants to be Subaru for his ability RbD
Rem appears for a short bit cause Subaru was nearly about to shatter. Subaru actually had his memories eaten by one of the other Gluttony Archbishop before this so Rui was giving him an existential crisis such as the possibility of the current him disappearing when his memories return
Rem just yells at him to stand up, I don't think the Gluttony Archbishop can see her, and Subaru regains his resolve and gains the ability to use the second of his Authorities, Greed, vaguely feeling something despite the spoiler, something which does NOT happen when he sees Emilia post-tower shenanigans. Needless to say, Rem is still asleep but two of three solutions to solving the Rem debacle are within the tower at this moment so she is almost guaranteed to wake up.

She'll have to wake up soon, since Subaru is currently under a similar effect and the story will grind to a halt without it being fixed.
