I disagree, this is a good fit for CG because it's not a very action intensive series, the original art style would have been difficult to translate to animation to begin with so you don't have as much of a jarring mismatch as you normally do for properties that get adapted to CG. It's also an easy appeal for people who liked Zootopia, which is an unfortunate but frankly unavoidable comparison that has and will continue to be made - embracing it might be the right move.
The trailer's not a great example of how most of the show will look, as I said there's not a lot of action in this series and this is one of those few moments. So I'm still withholding judgment, but at the least I can say the news of it being CG doesn't hurt my hopes for it being good.

I can see it being achievable depending on how easily the models are able to be edited, stuff like drawing bigger eyes or wider mouths for certain scenes.
they've been shown in their studio to 3d animate, and then have 2d animators draw over the 3d animations, and then reanimate it to how they've drawn. I can't see how this studio is a loss atleast.
I imagine animating animal features like deer antlers to be hell, and he's a main character who will be on screen a lot.

I just read through this entire series.
It's pretty interesting, but I feel like the author isnt good at transitioning between scenarios.
Stuff like Haru being kidnapped and the ensuing fight and the confrontation with Riz seemed kind of rushed and out of place.
It feels like at those points everyone acts out of character for a little while just so that the sequence of events can happen that places them in a new setting.

Well, Haru being kidnapped literally comes out of nowhere with no set up.
Legosi and panda guy winning in a fight against the entire lion mafia seems pretty unrealistic (did really only one member have a gun?).
Louis showing up without anyone noticing during the fight seemed weird, and the tiger mafia letting him become their boss is kind of stupid.
With the fight with Riz, Legosi's insistence on fighting him rather than calling the police seemed a little out of character (although to be fair it's more like just rapid character progression).
Legosi eating Louis's leg is pretty stupid though.
Eating meat being a temporary power buff makes no real sense, like I get that it might "awaken your instincts," but that really shouldn't be enough to make any real difference in a fight.
If anything it should make a carnivore more violent towards herbivores, not other carnivores.
And regardless it feels kind of out of character for Legosi to eat meat in the first place, his whole progression was overcoming that need.
Maybe I just missed some subtext or was too stupid, but these moments in particular stood out to me.

did you speedread? gohin literally brings that point up - legosi outright says it's a personal thing for him and wants to prove a point. legosi eating louis' foot is desperation and sign of friendship. him eating it also is pretty important later. also what, food makes predators hate each other because they're fighting about it, but that's besides the point. and again, that point was important - he was training to avoid eating, louis points out that his training is at its limit and is desperate, and then later on shows signs of withdrawal which severely affected him, among other things
