Monthly manga and a weekly anime. The same people that made the Naruto fillers are probably the same people writing for the Boruto stuff that are outside of the manga, so it will be bad from the get go. Since they don't know what will happen in the manga they have to write pointless stories to not interfere with the canon.

Boruto is comfy

Take the Jugo arc for example, Team 7 going on an adventure in the outskirts of Konoha, if you want the real deal just read the manga

OK, I looked it up. It's the same people. Not surprising. Boruto is the same quality as a Naruto filler. It's honestly an insult on Kishimoto's work.

Lol at fans of the anime defending it by saying it isn't filler and is canon.

I defended the filler in Shippuden, because 90% of the time it added world/character building and was good. But 90% of boruto is just bad, and only a handful are true canon.

Have fun waiting 3 years for the show to go anywhere.

DragonBall GT comes to mind. One Piece will probably get a filler continuation too if this trend continues.

Does anybody read boruto for any reason besides to see Naruto and a few assorted good characters interact?

New series would've been better if it took place like 100 yrs in the future instead of a few decades and the world was all mdern w/ no more ninja.

Powerlevels. Could've been good if in the future, with no more super big bads the whole world turned against nardo for being too strong.

Kishimoto DID insist on having his assistant draw it, so it might have been him trying to get his friend some work/exposure in a pretty cutthroat business. Kishimoto is said to be a very nice guy.

I don't watch the show, but, never had any interest in Naruto's female characters (sexually), but now that they're moms possibly bordering on MILFs, I find myself slightly intrigued.
