前略
Alicia seems to go to those gondola association meetings an awful lot. Are they just "meetings" where they get dinner together?
That's yet another volume down. See you next again!

I've made a thread for you Yea Forums.
No need to thank me!
Guy looks like he came straight out of a mindbreak doujin.
>dinner
from what we have seen so far, its only dinner if you count wine as food.
i kind of feel the same way about waiting, you get a timeslot where you have no responsibilities and are justified to fuck around doing whatever.
Thanks for the dump, OP. Another volume down, and we say farewell to Aika and the main gate of the Arsenale. It seems even on Neo Venezia, it flies the ensign of the Italian navy - the Italian tricolour defaced with the coat of arms of the navy (said coat of arms consisting of symbols from Italy's 4 ancient maritime republics - including Venice, naturally).
What a comfy chapter to end it on. I reckon the Gondola Association meetings are half business, half pleasure. Maybe they discuss things like hire rates, discuss routes and the status of new intakes? The cynic in me thinks that eventually Alicia sees her fiancé under the guise of 'Gondola Association meeting'. The Piazza sure seems quiet, especially for the afternoon! Usually you'd have to wait until the early hours of the morning for it to be that empty; then again, I'm sure Akari doesn't mind waiting. Spot on with the trivia about the shadow - in fact, if you ask for an 'ombra' in Venice then you'll get a glass of wine.
I sure hope they managed to save as much of the original Venice as they could before she sunk on Manhome. It's definitely outside the scope and the overall mood of the series, but I think it'd be interesting (and sad) to see the circumstances around Venice's final days. Was it a mad rush to save whatever they could before she sunk, or did they get enough out ahead of time and just let her gracefully sink into the lagoon from which she was born?
As a final bit of trivia, when Venice was occupied by the Austrians after the Napoleonic wars, Austrian soldiers favoured the Caffè Quadri on the north side of the Piazza. As a result, Venetians tended to prefer the Caffè Florian. And perhaps the rivalry between the two cafes continue to this day. I sure would like to grab a coffee with Akira-sama at Florian's, though it's a little expensive (but good for a treat). I'd probably prefer to find a quieter cafe tucked away in the streets somewhere.
Not sweaty enough for that.
you bring happiness to my life, trivia user
I always think of them as just the same as the YKK town council meetings.
Once Aria is done someone should start YKK daily threads.
Nah, if we do YKK again, this time the threads need to be monthly. Taking 10 years to read it is the perfect pace.
in the case of undine association, they have an actual job to do other than waiting to die so maybe not as much.
I don't think it would be right to dump the same series over and over. Better to move on to something new.
>little expensive
Fucking €10 for a cup of tea
That's why it's so good to be friends with the owner.
Did Akari visit a toilet?
thank you anyhow
Don't be silly, Arias don't do that kind of thing. She just wanted to wash her hands.
Thanks, I'm glad to be able to share my love of ARIA with my love and piecemeal knowledge of Venice. And my love and admiration of Akira-sama.
Oh no doubt, but I know that when I'm paying that much I'm also paying for the surroundings and music... not that I'd ever go more than once per trip to Venice. Or order more than one drink. I should do as says and make friends with the owner. I could even show him this mug I purchased from the 'original' store on Manhome, in the ancient times of 2016. And who's that lurking out of focus in the background?
>And who's that lurking out of focus in the background?
Run, before you get suwa'd!
TOO
LATE
Thanks, this chapter felt like a reminder that people needs to slow down and take it easy. I liked it a lot.
He looks more like this manga villain than a cafe owner.
owning a store in such a prominent location, he at least has some mob ties.
It's Italy, that's just tradition. Nothing bad about the family.
