>spend 80% of the story developing their relationship
>people wonder why others were annoyed the story ended in a completely different way

But fans of Ichigo and Rukia from Bleach are fine with the ending they got right?

This. So much this. The stupid hack totally forgot about the other two victims and made it all about Kayo, which is why that ending irritated everybody. But then again, I think he was just getting tired and wanted his clusterfuck series to end while it was going good. Both manga and anime endings were total ass, and I couldnt tell what the fuck was happening half the time

I can get over this, but not over the fact that MC lost 15 years of his life for the sake of others.
I know that he wanted it, but it's still makes me sad that he had to take this bullet.
And why isn't he treated like a retard (11 years old boy in adult's body) since nobody knew he has revival?

>I couldnt tell what the fuck was happening half the time
If you couldn't tell what was happening but other people do, the only problem is that you are stupid.

I can't believe it's been however many years and you people still don't get that the MC was never into Kayo romantically.

Based.

Yes, but the viewers were into him being into her romantically, and as this was their self-insert fantasy, it hurt them badly when they didn't wind up together.

about how Kayo never had the chance to live her own life because even her childhood was shit.
he didn't want to fuck her. he didn't want to marry her. he wanted to save her. he even sighs in relief when seeing she has a kid because when he found out he'd been in a coma he worried that she'd just been waiting for him this whole time which would have meant she hadn't gone out and lived, and he'd completely wasted all the extra effort he went to make sure she would do okay and not merely be still alive

he didn't actually lose it though.
he just time traveled back to the present. as it happens, in this new timeline he was in a coma until he 'arrived' as his destination time but the only price he really paid was having to go through physical rehab, which is a pretty mild karmic punishment for a story about abusing time travel to achieve a 'golden end'.
like even if he didn't have the coma, his personal experience would have been much the same; he zaps back into the present but now the timeline is all weird and his personal experience of those fifteen years contradicts the history everyone else experienced
I feel more sorry for his mother who had to watch over him and make sure he was taken care of for fifteen years with no signs of him ever waking up.
at least with the coma, him not remembering any of the important events in his friends and family's lives in those years isn't something they'd ever notice or question, and he'd never feel like an imposter that just took over someone else's life

This.
This guy too.

Shipper fags never get un-butthurt when their pairing doesn't happen.

He killed a kid

Bait

Its explained better in the manga. MC "Lost" those 15 years as karmic balance. Basically he traded the 15 years of living his life for the people who died to live the 15 years they wouldn't have otherwise. The mom wasn't part of that trade as she already lived those 15 years and got killed after that. Her tending to him for those years may have been her own balance for not dying later.

He killed a kid, so what? Nothing wrong. Griffith too.

If they showed consistency he would actually lose those 15 years but no apparently he gains his previous timeline memories. I forgot which part of the anime but he altered the past before and that overwritten his memory.

My childhood friend chose a asshole instead of me in highschool. Jokes on her shes a single mother now. Similar kinda feels

Holy crap it's been so long and you retards still never paid any attention to the story

From the start of the story, Satoru's romantic interest has always been Airi.
Airi was not supposed to "exist" in Satoru's new corrected timeline yet the two of them meetup by sheer coincidence in the final scene, that's a well justified ending to tie up loose ends if anything.
.
Kayo was not even a romantic interest in the first place since their mental age was so far apart

>the two of them meetup by sheer coincidence in the final scene

It also happens just as he's thinking about how fate/destiny works if him coincidently meeting her again was too subtle for people.

Ichigo wasn't the exclusive focus for the entire run. She was the proverbial second fiddle "childhood friend" in the triangle.

It's even stated in the manga.

>bottom right
He looks so much better with the manga's color scheme.

It's not about how he felt, it's about that they spend the entire show fucking developing their relationship while the other girl barely appeard and besides, WHY THE FRIEND? it's okay that she got married had a baby but THE FRIEND? fucking bullshit

Do people really need to post that pic every day?

That's only problem of self-insert faggots.

I have never been so disappointed and upset in my entire life!
A masterpiece in my ass!
