I'm not able to keep the pace of shonen, there are many of them that I begin to read the manga, but then they become horribly bad, with bad writing, asspulls at any moment, stupid power gaps and with the MC being the strongest motherfucker on earth.
Am I the only one who stops reading them after a certain point?. Those, I left halfway were, naruto, MHA, one piece, mob psycho and one punch man that is not really a shonen, but I felt like it became one.
I dunno man I'm enjoying the shonen I am reading I just wish the translations weren't so slow.
Ethan Murphy
read kimetsu or clover
Anthony Butler
both of those are shit
Adam Bell
They are trash as well. Read hxh
David Bell
prove yourself right
Blake Parker
Thats trash. Read Chainsawman
Leo Perry
that one is trash as well. don't read.
Cameron Davis
Edgy garbage for teens who think they're intelligent. Read Jigokuraku instead OP All bad
Sebastian Evans
I read clover and I didn't like it. I'll try kimetsu, thank you. I read it, but the hiatus makes it impossible to keep the pace of the story. I left it because of it. >Read Jigokuraku I will, thank you.
Gabriel James
When your brain developed. Good for you OP.
Ian Walker
I agree with you. I've been watching the Yu Yu Hakusho anime recently but I lost my will to continue after Sensui died. Just too much shit writing piled up on each other; Yusuke's revival, the demon form, Sensui's split personalities and how he used them to get Sacred Energy, Sensui and Yusuke having S class power, and the DBZ tier fight they had. It was just too much. >Emperor Time >the Royal Guard >Meruem >Gon-san >the Princes >o my crazy slots >Alluka hxh has its fair share of power creep and bad writing.
try Jujutsu Kaisen. its a very new battle shounen (50 something chapters, only been running for a year) that takes inspiration from Bleach. It starts out a bit slow, but in terms of sales and growth its looking to be WSJ's best hit since MHA.
>chainsawman is edgy garbage for teens Okay I feel you >who think they're intelligent What the fuck do you even mean by this? I've not once seen anybody rick and morty fucking chainsawman
Jace Baker
This is a bait thread, but I feel nice; any long running serialized work begins to run out of steam eventually. The pressure of continuing a work without no end in sight means things get forgotten, plot points get stretched out, and the thrust of the story gets lost.
Combine that with the escalation treadmill of battle manga (which is what you faggots mean when you say shonen), and eventually things get ridiculous.

>2deep4u you're taking the hunterchad meme too seriously. It's for kids, cope nigger. Alluka speaks for itself, a sudden deus ex machina introduced to fix Gon. Togashi attempted to balance Alluka with all kinds of rules just to throw them out the window for Killua. I don't even think other hunterfags try to defend Alluka, all that character was good for was hyping the Dark Continent. Kite's revival was dumb too. Maybe it could have been passable if it was just ant reincarnation, but then it turns out Kite just had a secret ability. For a deconstruction, hxh sure does like having some of shonen's problems live using bad excuses to save characters. Actually ant reincarnation in general is dumb.
Cooper Sanchez
Because the authors never plan their stories.
Sebastian Green
>WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I‘LL LOOK FOR FLAWS IN ANYTHING SO IT’S BAD
Leo Jones
>just ant reincarnation, but then it turns out Kite just had a secret ability What the fuck was up with that? Didn't some random villager girl "reincarnate" in the same exact way even without crazy slots handwaving
Eli James
Even if it was ant reincarnation it would be dumb since it just so happened to be Meruem's twin that he reincarnated into. Too much asspull to save a character that didn't even matter. Gon going nuclear over Kite doesn't even make sense.
Gabriel Parker
How about you stop reading battle shonen and try other genre? Or just read something that's already finished.
Gavin Perry
snk is the only good shounen
Xavier Smith
No, sometimes the ants can recall memories of their past lives and the personalities carry over as well, so she remembered her village and decided to go back. Its rare for an ant to be able to unlock their memories though.
Jaxson Long
You're supposed to move on entirely, the intended demographic are young boys and teens. Adults have no business wasting time with this.
Camden Murphy
When an artist gets enough money to retire on they suddenly realize they hate working
Luis Clark
that's pretty much me. I blame having to go on for a long time. I remember finishing bleach tho
Jayden Garcia
The only battle manga I’ve really enjoyed are Dragonball, One Piece and Hunter x Hunter. Honestly I feel like these cover most of what you’d ever want out of battle manga. Everything new is just going to be more of the same.
Kayden Baker
the amount of replies this got are hilarious. It's not high literature or whatever meme, but why does Yea Forums pretend HxH isn't clearly better than most shonen? You don't even have to like shonen shit to admit that .
Anthony Gonzalez
>How about you stop reading battle shonen and try other genre? I do. Mostly mecha, seinen and mahō shōjo, and I don't have the same problem with them that I have with shonen. I like shonen anime when they begin, but then they turn fucking stupid, that's my main problem.
