Ordered two figures and both came damaged. I contacted NY two weeks ago and they said they would contact makers. I called them again today and they said no reply from maker yet but to please wait until after may 10th. At this point I think they are just stalling or something

You could try to contact the manufacturers yourself, with some photos of the damage. NY is notorious for terrible customer support. They're one of those companies that are fine as long as nothing goes wrong with cheap prices for the same quality, but are your worst enemy if something does go wrong.
I actually tried GSC before NY and GSC said figure was too old. I told NY this and asked if they could offer a replacement from their stock, which they blatantly ignored.
Alter is the other maker and I'm pretty sure they will say the same about figure being too old.
Then yeah, eat the ban but get your money back. Never use NY again.
I heard a lot of shit about that site and have stayed clear of it. Not sure how long you have with that and you should look into it yourself but what I do know is that from the April 29th to May 6th is Golden Week there. If push comes to shove and nothing comes of waiting, just say fuck that site. A million others out there.

You can get by with a single panel for most shots. What I like to do is set a 3 second exposure and then move the light panel 180 degrees around the figure for even lighting, or pause on areas i want to highlight. I did it in in a dark room and it worked really well except I fucked up the editing and need to rethink it.
