Okay Yea Forums, give me one, ONE (1) reason why

you haven't started watching Lupin III RIGHT NOW.

I am unable to understand the inner mechanism of your mind

WHY wouldn't you watch the god tier franchise that is LUPIN III ??

I've watched some of it and didn't care for it.

the pronnouncation of Lupin as Lupan throws me off! I always pronnounce things how they are written so it's weird considering I've memorized it as "Lu-pin!"

I want to watch Lupin from the beginning but Green-Jacket Lupin is so bland

I could skip to red-jacket but that would make me feel like a quitter

Because Mari Okada worked on a season and once I start a series I watch everything so I can't just skip what she worked on.

You absolute blasted idiot
that's not how you watch Lupin

You start with the movie Castle of Cagliostro
Then watch Parts IV and V, which are the best series of the franchise
You can then continue with Part I, then the movie Fuma Clan
Finally, after you have done all this, you are free to chose wht series or movie you want to watch

>he started with the worst series

kys, you're a lost cause

either this, or just stop wasting your time with the fujiko garbage and jump straight into parts IV and V

>he started with the worst series
But I haven't?

yes you have, you watched the gay series

where are my manga translations?

Does a Lupin I and Lupin II exist?

Lupin I exist but only in French

I've never watched a Lupin series, retard.

There was a guy who proposed to drop a MEGA of all the official english manga volumes, but the thread got archived before I could reply

then what are you waiting for ???

do it right now, watch Castle of Cagliostro

you have no excuses

...

Cagliostro is a great movie but it's also the least Lupin of the Lupins

I watched Part 1, really enjoyed it but Part 2 was overwhelming to start.
I've been planning to meet with a friend and binge all of Lupin out there day by day though.

juts skip what you're watching

did I tell you to watch part II ? listen to me for once in your life

>juts skip what you're watching
I can't do that.

yes you can

Alright, Castle of Cagliostro it is.
This better be good.

I dont like 90s anime comedies

You made the right choice my friend
You won't regret

I have been watching Lupin though, for the last couple weeks. I watched Cagliostro, then most of Part 1, a bit of Part 2, and enough of Part 3 to realize I didn't care for it.

Should I jump right into Part 4 next, or TWCFM or another film?

parts IV and V are the best lupin series, so yes

watch it

RIGHT. NOW.

I watched some of it, and once I'm an old man, I'll have finished all of it. Start apologizing to me now.

completely forget the fujiko anime, pretend it doesn't exist

Because it's a French word pronounced by Japanese.

Episode 0 is the best...
Cagliostro is boring shit

No watch episode 0 instead its better..

boring

I watched it growing up and was a nearly constant part of my life.
I considered watching it again from beginning to end but the more than 100 episodes of red jacket are a daunting task and I would rather watch things I do not know as of now.

>90s

Yea Forums can't accept that it debunked their precious meme chart

I can see where you're coming from. To me though, the first series has some genuinely great episodes and subdued direction that you don't see in anime nowadays, which made it worth watching to me. You at least saw the episode where he got caught and stayed in jail though, right?

I was literally about to four days before Monkey Punch died.

art is ugly, like kinnikuman when you start read it

Part 3 has some episodes with a very different atmosphere from the goofy ones, check episodes 13, 24 and 30 for example.

;_;

I was working my way through the specials a couple of months back but stopped, since Monkey Punch died recently thought I'd continue, next in order would Tokyo Crisis

I would watch it if I knew where to start

it's all episodic so doesn't matter.

The first series is the best so I'd start there.

There is nowhere specific to start. Lupin Part 1, 2, 3 and the specials have mostly self-contained stories in every episode, watch any random episode and you'll still have no problem understanding what's going on. Part 4 and 5 are different in that there is an overarching story in most of the episodes, but you can still just start with Part 4 or 5 if you wanted to. Just pick whatever appeals to you the most.
It doesn't take long to get to know the characters, but if you're jumping into part 4 or 5, you should probably take a quick look at a summary of the main 5 characters at least.

Lupin without Miyazaki just isn't that good.

please read the thread before posting

What do I watch after Caglio?

Just because something is old and the author dies doesn't make it worth watching.

Episodes 3-12 of series 2, followed by 38-54 of series 1, then you can either watch every odd episode of series 3 or the first half of series 4 which then segues into The Bloodsplatter of Ishikawa Goemon which then sets up episode 13-27 of series 1 (the Goe-mom arc).

Thanks for the quick and painless.
Now I've got something to watch during this sustained week of alternating between constipation and shitting my guts out!

You can skip that show and miss nothing.

It's been in my backlog for a while, I just haven't gotten around to watching it yet

Don(t listen to the user who replied to you

watch Parts IV and V

then you can watch part I

Lupin the first is the one from the books
Lupin the second exist in the Lupin III manga and he was a turbo asshole
Both of them got some cameos in the anime

did it a long time ago
