It depends on how long Oshimi plans to continue this series. At this point the story could either head for a reset or for a climactic conclusion. If it's going to be the latter, Shigeru might tell his side of the story to the police, prompting Seiko to run away, with Seiichi in tow. Pic somewhat related
Running away is a fairly recurrent theme in Oshimi's works, and it and it already happened with Fukiishi, so it's possible that Seiichi will run away from home again, but with his mother this time.
If you liked his other works, then yes, definitely. Compared to Aku no Hana and Happiness, the scope of Chi no Wadachi is smaller, with fewer characters in the spotlight, and a smaller setting overall.

It's a thing that comes and goes, and gets better or worse depending on who he's talking to and how much he inteacted with his mother in any given moment.
For instance, when he was with Fukiishi after telling off his mother, it seemed like he got over it, but it came back after his panic attack under the bridge.
During his gaslighting session with Seiko, it got worse and worse. Once she took out his underwear, he was put under more extreme mental strain, which would make anyone struggle with talking.
