Imagine art is a pyramid. All art, from film, to television, to anime, art in general. Most people are near the bottom of the pyramid. The most accessible art is down there. Things for children and beginners. When you have a bit of knowledge you can use effort to work your way up the pyramid.

Most people never get far but if you don’t study, you don’t have the tools you need to make your way up the pyramid. The art at the top is inaccessible to beginners.
