Do people still talk about Kill La Kill (nudist propaganda show) on its own merits? I sometimes see waifuposting about the characters, but it really feels like this was just a Flavor of the Year thing back in 2013/14.
Kill La Kill
it was shit. even kizunaaiver was better
It’s just a goofy Imaishi show
It was a solid 6/10
Do people still talk about TTGL or just talk about the waifus (specially Yoko)?
No shit OP. There’s no need of more discussion, just cute girls.
Why can Trigger anime never decide if they want to make a serious point, or just be full of shitposting humor? The last they came close to a serious show was Darling in the Franxx and even that was derailed by the fucking ridiculous looking mech designs
It was a great show, but it's mostly been talked out and people have moved on just like tons of other great shows over the years. The contrarian shitposters are eternally persistent though but it's not worth bothering with them. That's just the cycle of anime.
Case in point, whew.
Why are people still discussing Utena, Evangelion, Bebop, Berserk 20 years later? But not Gurren Lagan or Darker Than Black 5-10 years later?
>not distinguishing between lore focused and shitfest anime
Yikes, you make me cringe
>Darker Than Black
season 2 demoralized the fanbase to fuck. I see the alcholic hei pic like 20 times a day.
not a good example. klk was shit.
Do you just hate everything?
I liked kill la kill
>Do people still talk about TTGL or just talk about the waifus (specially Yoko)?
Yes, both are dumb, but TTGL is a lot more coherent and consistent with its themes.
>Utena, Evangelion, Bebop
Eva is the only one that still gets "discussed" with even vague frequency and even that is less common. Eva though long since achieved iconic status and remains a go-to for philosophizing and crap. Plus there is more recent material and more yet to come unfortunately
>Berserk 20 years later?
user we'll be luck if Berserk is even done 20 years from NOW we're a long ways from being able to talk about "later".
Yes, it's still the anime of the decade.

WHY doesn't anyone discuss keit- ai
It was amazing and I love every single aspect of it. Definitely not "flavor of the month."
fpwp
Space Dandy and Mawaru Penguindrum are the only good ones on your TV list.
Oh, boy. I haven't rewatched this show since at least three weeks. Maybe more.
>Space Dandy
>good
>user, Berserk isn't over.
wonder what the over/under is now for him fucking dying before Berserk is over. would anyone even be surprised?
Holy shit.
You have to admit, that user's movie selection is good. It's the TV shows that are questionable.
>the TV shows that are questionable
Where?
It's literally just waifushit. Nothing else. Honestly, that's the sole reason why the show wasn't ignored when it premiered.
Ragyo is best waifu and best girl
Don't forget best mom.
>sole reason why the show wasn't ignored when it premiered
>t. Newfag that wasn't there for the fun and is talking out of his ass.
Stop pretending you didn't give a fuck about this show because of the cute girls. That's why people still mention it after it long ended.
Where's Dragon Ball super?
If that's all it takes a lot more shows would be still mentioned.
>Not following the show to join in on KLK: Quest, theory posting, Dosh King saga, weekly wtf happened now hype, and general mile a minute meme-ery.
I'm not saying people don't waifu the top tier waifus hell husbandos too, but trying to claim that was the only reason to watch is blatantly lying. The entertainment was entertaining, and everything else only added onto the pile.
It has a fucking video game coming out THIS YEAR. One of the trailers for that game has over a million views. Kill la kill is still very relevant
The other guy put it pretty well but speculation, hype and theory dominated the discussion while it was airing. It's mostly waifu stuff now because the story has been solved and everyone knows the ending.
>video game
It's something, I guess?
A shame about some characters getting almost completely sidelined. I loved Tsumugu's introduction but then he just devolved into a comic relief when he even showed up.
It's still my favorite show and I always find something new to appreciate when I rewatch it or flip through the script. I found out just the other day that Sanageyama's line here is an idiom from Romance of the Three Kingdoms that never got translated properly in the show. It's just tiresome to actually talk about it though since all discussion here amounts to "no good as TTGL hurgle burgle"
There isn't much to say about it.
Kill La Kill is just a story about not being ashamed of flaunting your body and how people form pseudosocial relationships with their favorite clothes
It's a great show, but it's still poor man's TTGL
I think it depends on which one you saw first
I watched TTGL as it aired. KLK is better.
KLK > TTGL any day. And TTGL isn't even bad. Fight me, faggots.
The absurd and the fantastic capture the human heart, and therefore Trigger's love of the hotblooded make it so these elements can't be absent
OR
Sincerity is embarrassing, Trigger must hide behind a veneer of sarcasm and comedy to protect their fragile soul
Pick your poison
game please dont be bad
Because it isn't a thing yet
