Been thinking about Lupin a bit after Monkey Punch's death

To me, Lupin III is like the Japanese equivalent of Bugs Bunny. Just this funny, wacky, timeless character who can have endless adventures and endless antics.
He doesn't really have a backstory nor is there any overarching plot that really goes on in Lupin's life, so really, you can just make him do whatever the hell you want with whomever the hell you want however the hell you want, and it never gets old.
They can legitimately keep this series going for another 50 years, and I don't think future generation will ever get tired of it. Monkey Punch really made a legendary series with Lupin III.

No one cared about this hack's shitty manga though

All of Asia does. Ya dum dum

It was one of the first Seinen manga, dummy

Why are American Anime fans afraid of Lupin, but like Cowboy Bebop?

Lupin is misogynistic sexual harasser.
Americans should be happy two very problematic manga authors died in a week. It's a very positive message sent from Japan before the Olympics!

Burger here, watched Lupin, AMA

They never really showed Lupin that much on Toonami
