So - time for our bi-annual checkup on what's going on in Yuuenchi! As you all know, Kozue's deceased father, Matsumoto Taizan, was the master of the protagonist. He's spent five years trying to track down who was responsible for his master's death. Well, we're still on that. In the chapter that came out the other day, the protagonist is in the home of Some Guy who inexplicably had dozens of live mics and cameras recording that specific park that day. So, now, Protagonist can find out exactly what happened all those years ago.
Yanagi appears out of the shadows for no apparent reason, and asks that Taizan would fight him. Not for money or pride or whatever, but because he wants to know something: defeat. He envies those who lose. He loves the concept of loss, of crumbling away. For whatever reason, the author explicitly makes out Yanagi to be a masochistic pervert. In explaining how he imagines his theoretical losing experience, Yanagi likens himself to a woman on the verge of orgasm. He keeps whispering to himself about wanting someone to kick the shit out of him. Then, we go into some weird even more hentai-ish passage where Taizan refuses to fight Yanagi, but Yanagi's all 'You know you want it ... see, you're not running away'. Then Yanagi again asks Taizan to teach him defeat, while - as the narrator describes the image here - making eyes at him like a woman enticing him.
I know, right? He looks exactly like Gaia as Nomura.

He didn't love her at first. He didn't consider her "his wife", he only saw her as "Baki's son". She was the person responsible for Baki's training and nothing else.
A big plotpoint right before the fight between Baki and Yujiro is that Baki loves his mom, while Yujiro doesn't really care about her, so she begins to realize that all this time she's been trying her hardest to please a man who doesn't love her while treating the only person who cares about her like shit.
Though in the end by seeing Baki's determination to fight and his mom's courage when protecting Baki, he seemed to actually fall in love and he showed it by hugging her. He hugged her with all of his strength, breaking her spine
