I really don't like Marika and I don't like her kind of character archetype, obnoxious clingy girl that's blatantly in love with the MC, but I feel like the way that the story and Raku in particular treated her was the most disrespectful way to deal with someone like her.

Like this girl confesses her feelings for you and pours out her heart on a near daily basis but you don't even take the effort into responding to her and properly rejecting her until you absolutely have to, instead you just constantly string her along to dash her hopes. The wedding crash arc is the most laughably stupid thing, "I'm going to crash your wedding so that I can reject you". At least she got Y-san in the end.

She said she was the girl when they were at her secret spot and at the beach but he fell asleep. The episode where she and Ichigo made sweets at her place because of the typhoon was the best of the series. Best girl, best episode, best songs. This and KNIM let me down because bad girls won, but Ichigo 100% remains the most based ending.

The first incident where you can tell this manga was going to have bullshit was the classroom confession scene, and a fucking baseball breaks the window. You can tell what made Nisekoi feel unique in the beginning chapters just fell apart there and then, tempo completely changed for the series to artificial lengthening.

I also hate that kind of character archetype because they're never handled well and are there just to be annoying until the story needs them to be taken seriously. Like I said, I used to root for Chitoge, but when I got tired of all that bullshit being dragged on for so long it just felt that Marika deserved to be rewarded for at least trying, when compared to everyone else.

No she didn't. Chitoge was literally the only one out of all the characters that had any semblance of a personality. Onodera was shit from start to end.

It's why Raku is so frustrating, he's a guy who doesn't really have any sort of goal or endgame that he's working towards and is just sort of "handed" his harem instead of earning it. Maybe "inherited" is a better word because with the exception of Tsugumi they're all just childhood friends who fell in love with him because they're childhood friends.

She really did, but it was extremely clear from very early on that the author had a LOT of contempt for her despite being her creator. It is not an exaggeration to say that the universe hated Onodera and did not want her to progress or succeed.

I was legitimately heartbroken when I finished the series even though I saw her loss coming from a few episodes into the anime. It was just one of those things.
