Garbage, anyone who praises it is confirmed shit taste

This belongs here

It's pretty slow so far at ep 4.

0079 and Zeta are good, ZZ is garbage and CCA is overrated.

I liked 0079, but it's overall pretty bad

Love it. Wish it was still good. Hopefully Hathaway's Flash is good.

Zeta is shit

Indifferent to it

Gundam, Zeta Gundam, Char's Counterattack and War in the Pocket is all anyone need to watch, everything else sucks.

Fascinating writing that rides on Genius and pantsu on head retarded. Tomino=God

Attached: 1541959980744.jpg (450x338, 33K)

It seems complicated.

Love the franchise. Some parts more than others
>Least favorite series
Seed
>Favorite series
Turn A, thunderbolt, zeta and 08th ms team.
>Favorite gundams
Zeta, Stargazer, Gp02, Woundwart, ez8
>Favorite grunt
Leo, Zaku 2, GM cannon

I honestly recommend the movies for first time MSG watchers.
>inb4 Important character stuff and salt
You can just rewatch it later if you liked the movies

A total cash grab on an inferior mecha that will never be as good as Code Geass which is made by the same studio That milks Gundam .

I asked in another thread and was told the movies cut around too much to make sense compared to the series.

Second this. As much as I love the original it can feel like a chore sometimes.

>You can just rewatch it later if you liked the movies
That never fucking happens and you know it.

THIS HAND OF MINE IS BURNING RED

Attached: Shining.Gundam.full.610558.jpg (1500x1069, 561K)

I've only seen 0079. It's plain to see why it was so influential, but it definitely feels too much like a toy commercial that was being made up as it went along to be considered truly great.

If I remember correctly. It trims out some of the enemy of the week fights and some of the sillier elements. Plot wise it still works.

If you talk about the movies on /m/ you will never hear the end of it. But they are much better to get a modern viewers into Gundam than the extremely slow show with a quite a lot of toy commercial trappings.

In general, the better the mecha porn, the more retarded everything else.
Anything but UC can be safely ignored. Stargazer is a notable exception.

MUH GUNTANK!

Attached: 61ySY2JjfbL._SX425_.jpg (425x425, 19K)

Is there any downside to the movies?

Tomino is a genius

Attached: 1554264145259.webm (854x394, 2.77M)

I love it. Early UC is my favorite part of Gundam.

Attached: DjNAjtyV4AUU0MX.jpg (433x650, 47K)

Unicorn is decent, watching Wing rn and it's not bad. IBO was a good S1, i dropped in S2 though

>tfw /m/orons like build divers and Gundam-san

Attached: 1554620523581.png (496x708, 448K)

Characters are less fleshed out, some Suits are missing that are pretty iconic, Guntank isn't there until the end.

CCA was the peak.
Zeta's ending feels rushed.
ZZ doesn't just start badly but ends badly. The earth part is the only watchable part.
Uso is awful. On the same level as obnoxious as Uraki.

Seriously, why the fuck do people like it as much as they do. There were far too many moments watching it where I thought "Well this is fucking stupid," to be enjoyable.

Attached: 1545966538689.png (279x327, 136K)

>Thoughts on Gundam franchise
Macross is better. My regret is that I saw the original Macross before I started watching the Gundam series. Made it much harder to enjoy since I was just comparing them, and Gundam doesn't measure up.

Attached: Catch a tuna in space.jpg (1440x1080, 169K)

It's just a toy commercial. Gundam is kinda popular in Japan because most people watched it as a kid but not a big deal.

>Macross poster
>Based
How do they do it every single time.
What are your thoughts on 7?

>CCA was the peak.
CCA was a 50 episode show stuck in a 2 hour movie.

Got into Gundam because of Gundam G on Toonami. I've only seen 0079, 83, Zeta, and ZZ.

Zeta Gundam ost is bomb as fuck. And Kamille character development was A1. How come no one told me Haman was based AF??

ZZ was ass desu. Inappropriate ass sequel. Too much character assassination to go around. Really feels like Tomino didnt give a fuck about this series after CCA got greenlit.

G Gundam is the GOAT. Love when it was on Toonami. Cool cast of characters, cool fights, and over the top scenes. Boomers love to hate on Gundam G and Wing.

83 was alright at best. The strong art direction, animation, and choreography really held this OVA up. Everything else was meh.

Attached: img.jpg (2000x1500, 184K)

Not even close. CCA is almost perfectly paced. The only thing it lacks really is a prologue.

Turn A is good.

I will never understand what people like about 08th MS Team.

You're never going to get a straight answer. There are people that swear by the series (like me) and others that swear by the movies. I watched the movies and thought they were shit. I don't know why anyone would ever watch a compilation movie over the original material for their first watch through of a series. I fucking loved 0079 and there was very little in it that I'd consider filler but other people think that anything that isn't Amuro vs Char or that isn't one of the setpieces is filler.

0079 had 52 episodes fully planned out (I don't know if it was entirely done before the series started airing but it was probably fully done by at least the halfway point of the series) but had to cut it down to 43. IIRC it was originally going to be 39 but they managed to negotiate for 4 more episodes. And Gundam was saved because of toys. The toys didn't start until 0079 ended I think.

I watched Macross before Gundam too and thought Gundam was a million times better. I expected to like Macross more too.

>CCA is almost perfectly paced
Bull fucking shit, one of the most common complaints with CCA is the pacing.

IT'S LOUD ROAR TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU

m.youtube.com/watch?v=k1UuEHmxG0U

Just now noticing I posted Shining instead of God Gundam.
Time to kill myself.

Attached: mpv-shot0017.jpg (960x720, 92K)

And it is a retarded complaint.

Th eons written by Tomino have a compelling plot, but terrible god awful dialogue and character interactions. Overall universal centaury is of course the best of the franchise, but still has plenty of terrible moments, even in fan favorites like zeta. The original 0079 has really really dated animation and also the gundam has way too much plot armor, like zakus can't even hurt the thing lol. Most au's are terrible and not worth while, except for g gundam, x, and turn a if you count that as an au. SEED and SEED destiny both start strong, but are ultimately terrible and the worst in the franchise imo.

There's nothing wrong with CCA's pacing (outside of maybe having too much Hathaway and that girl) but it starts in the middle of the story told in the books. It could have used maybe 30 minutes before the opening scene.

Fuck you. Victory as a whole might have been retarded, but Uso was fucking great.

I often forget that Code Geass is a mecha anime.

If Tomino is involved, it is usually between massively uneven to total shit.

When he isn't involved, it might be decent.

Watchable: Unicorn, War in the Pocket, Stardust Memory, Thunderbolt, and 08th MS Team.

Attached: 坂口もぐら - ニナ.png (600x600, 221K)

>Unicorn, Stardust Memory, 08th MS Team
>watchable
It's actually the other way around. The only good non-Tomino Gundams are 0080 and IGLOO

CCA is so fucking overrated.

t. couldn't go BEYOND ZA TAIM

I like to pretend most Macross after the original doesn't exist. Macross Plus was alright but totally removed from the original.

Attached: make your own.jpg (1440x1080, 236K)

>Zeta, Stargazer, Gp02, Woundwart, ez8
>Leo, Zaku 2, GM cannon
Pretty good taste.

Attached: 1409678455321.gif (400x300, 654K)

I've been working my way through it on and off throughout the last 2 years. Here's how I'd rank all I watched:
>High tier
0079, War in the Pocket, 8th MS Team, ZZ, Unicorn
>Mid tier
Stardust Memory, Zeta, Victory
>Low
F91, Char's Counterattack
Currently watching G Gundam, it's the worst Gundam I've ever seen, it's almost definitely below low tier.

Unironically, I think IGLOO would've easily been a fan favorite if they didn't use really shitty CG for it.

Only Duel.

I thought Zero was ok, but yeah, most Macross after the original series is mediocre.

It blows my mind that some people love cca. It is so fucking bad.

Sayla was best girl. That is all.

Also I would add that 0080 genuinely made me tear up at the end and is my favorite since I am a massive faggot

It had excellent animation and the final scene (with the meteorite drop is really memorable, but the conclusion of Amuro's and Char's rivarly can't only last two hours. It feels like so much was left out, little to no plot points are elaborated upon, the movie isn't tied to the works it's building upon almost completely. Thankfully, Unicorn is a much better sendoff to the UC era (at least the early UC, but I like to pretend the late UC doesn't exist as it tarnishes the name of the Universal Century).

Amuro is a legend and one of the greatest characters ever.

>Best tier

>Good tier
Zeta, ZZ, Victory, SEED Stargazer, 00, Unicorn, G-Reco, Thunderbolt, Origin
>Good animation but bad story tier

>Average tier

>Bad tier
Wing, SEED Destiny, IGLOO 2, Twilight AXIS, Build Divers
>Trash tier
AGE, Build Fighters Try

>0083
>08th MS Team
cringe

Most criticisms I see about it are that too much time is spent with Hathaway and whatshername. Or that they think it ruins Char's character.

>Unicorn is a good sendoff to the UC era
>late UC tarnishes the name of the Universal Century
Holy shit those are some bad opinions. Unicorn is just established character wank while late UC at least attempts to try something somewhat new. I'm not the biggest fan of Victory and especially F91 but they're much more interesting than Unicorn's newtype obsession and literal Char clone. Unicorn did have some fantastic production values though. Have you watched Turn A or G-Reco? Turn A is fantastic and G-Reco is fine imo.

>Amuro is a legend
Gundamfags are braindead holy shit

Might as well

>Great tier
0079, 0080, Turn A
>Good Tier
Zeta (kind of in the middle of great and good actually and I change my opinion on it often), ZZ, CCA, IGLOO 1 and 2, G-Reco (more in the middle of good and fine)
>Fine/Average tier
Victory, F91, 0083, Unicorn (somewhere in the middle of good and fine since I think a lot of it's retarded but its action is pretty good along with its animation), IGLOO 3
>Bad tier
08th MS Team

>Unicorn is just established character wank
There's a lot of references to the older stuff because Unicorn addresses a lot of plot points, ties all of the previous stories together and goes for a sendoff, just like I mentioned.
F91 is wasted potential because it was supposed to be a series that got turned into a movie, and Victory has some standout stuff (the infiltration of that one city, the final battle etc), but it was ultimately mediocre.
>Have you watched Turn A or G-Reco?
I haven't seen either. I'll watch Turn A after finishing G Gundam, both of Gundam Wings and After War. I can't wait to watch it since I heard a lot of great things about it. As for G-Reco, I'm not that tempted to see it. How good is it?

Shows I liked: 0079, War In The Pocket, Zeta, Victory, Thunderbolt, G-Reco, Turn A, Build Fighters, Origin
Shows that were overrated: IBO, 08th MS, SEED Destiny, 00

Attached: 1530166445536.jpg (675x900, 87K)

>Shit tier
Turn-A, The Origin, G-Reco, 08th MS, Victory

I dunno, there's something really compelling about the way Tomino's characters are. They don't behave like "real people", for sure, but at the same time, they don't really behave like generic anime characters either. I think that's what makes them so interesting to watch.

Attached: [EG]Mobile_Suit_Gundam_09_BD(720p_10bit)[6BEEC0C0].mkv_snapshot_13.48.956.png (960x720, 958K)

How can Destiny be overrated when nobody ever rates it as good to begin with?

>Tomino
>Compelling
Have Tominotards never seen another anime in their life?

I've never watched Gundam before. Which one should I watch first, the one with Camille or the one with Char?

None of them. It's an awful franchise designed to sell toys and nothing else

G-Reco isn't great and it kind of rehashes some things from Turn A but it has an interesting setting and characters.

Yes, I have, but I still like Gundam and Ideon a lot.

Attached: GundamGrecoMask.jpg (1280x720, 533K)

Pretty clear you haven't watched any anime that's good if you think Tominos """characters""" are compelling

Mind elaborating, or will you just keep saying the same things over and over?

I've never seen anyone explain exactly what's wrong with the way characters act in Gundam. People always say that they don't act like real people but that's kind of true of most anime. I never felt like the characters in Gundam were any less realistic than most other stuff I've watched.

The best argument is to simply watch any of Tominos shows. Gundamtards will of course kick and scream going "no my manchild toy commercial is totally great guys" but they're deluding themselves

I'm one of the guys you're replying too and I've seen every UC Gundam series. I still don't get the argument.

pls answer me

Dude, you still haven't even given a single example.

Go look in the archives. Where to start has been answered a billion times.

Zeta was great, and X is underrated.

Tomino is pants on head genius

I don't want "to start", I just want to watch the anime these characters have been because they are everywhere.

They could at least have the decency sell the toys I want.

Attached: Acguy_Thunderbolt.jpg (600x848, 224K)

Attached: 1551585804273.gif (960x720, 1.05M)

0079, Zeta, ZZ, and CCA are the 4 that are the most well known and iconic. And if you start with any of them besides 0079 you're not going to know what's happening.

Attached: GundamCharKamille.jpg (960x720, 248K)

God tier: Turn A, Build Fighters S1
Good: 79, Zeta, CCA, F91, G, Victory, G, X, War Pocket, 00, G-Reco
Ok: Wing, Build Fighters S2, 00 movie, Stargazer, Origin
Special tier (god tier visuals meh plot): Stardust Memory, Unicorn
Shit: Seed, Seed Destiny, IBO, AGE

Oh yeah, forgot Thunderbolt, that'll go under Good too.

0079 is a treasure.

Attached: guncannon rock.webm (640x480, 2.99M)

I unironically like 0079's art style and it would look great with movie quality animation I think.

Being a SEA monkey, it's highly overrated here.

Not that guy, but we keep bringing that up because it is something constant in his works. Tomino may have had interesting ideas when he was younger, but he doesn't know how to write characters. They many times talk and act in unbelievable ways. Usually people in fiction seem more complex when they act out of our expectations, but in Tomino stuff they just sound and look retarded. Saying that all other anime characters are also badly written doesn't make his characters look any better.

The fact that people here like G-Reco just shows how you are just fanboys who don't care if the show is good or bad anymore. If Tomino participated in touched it, you will enjoy it. You guys probably even like stuff like Garzey's Wing.

Attached: gundamcosplay.jpg (900x720, 79K)

You still haven't given any specifics.

>Saying that all other anime characters are also badly written doesn't make his characters look any better.
I don't see why it wouldn't. If every other anime has badly written characters behave and act in the same expected way, then regardless of Tomino's characters also being badly written, they at least have the distinction of being different and therefore more interesting to watch. Not that I agree with them being retarded or badly written in the first place, so kind of a moot point.

Why do you even bother trying to reason with him? He's already determined that anyone who disagree are just blind fanboys.

How about Bellri. Tell me how he is an incredibly well written characters.

Wing is shit but had top tier designs.

Attached: OZ-00MS_Tallgeese_(front).jpg (448x640, 76K)

I'm not saying he's an incredibly well written character. In fact I'm not saying anything other than I don't see how Gundam does characters worse than anything else. The person making the claim is the one that needs to provide proof.

what is even the point of the guntank

G-Reco is the ultimate pleb filter. If you think it's that terrible, you've done nothing but prove how you haven't paid attention at all but whine about Tomino's writing being retarded. People like you need things exposited up front, in your face, between characters who lived in the setting for years but somehow doesn't know stuff about the world they're living in constantly for anything to make sense.

>Gundamfags are seething so hard they think their toy commercial has any subtlety
Hoooly shit you can't make this up

0079 is a masterpiece and still my favourite anime. And I'm sick to death of people who haven't seen it calling the animation dated as an excuse not to watch it, especially if they're the kind to watch modern CG-ridden powerpoint presentations with no complaints. The fight choreography still holds up as top notch.

Attached: 1524143552949.jpg (540x411, 63K)

If you consider missing most of the content a downside, then yes. I can't understand why anyone would recommend skipping Amuro reuniting with his mother, Time Be Still, and a dozen more great episodes and scenes just because they were too impatient to watch a 42 episode series.

>0079 is a masterpiece
>There are people on Yea Forums right now who are this retarded

Divers wasn't too bad. Still can't top BF S1 but it had enough fun parts to make it worthwhile. Its main issue was using up its major storyline in the first cour.

Attached: 1535460809387.jpg (1272x1445, 830K)

>0079, Zeta, ZZ, and CCA
So these four are enough? Can someone confirm?

There was just too much nothing in Divers. I hated Try, but at least Try elicited some kind of emotion out of me. Divers was just boring, and that applies to plot, characters, and everything else about it. The one thing Divers did good was have a lot more references, but still not as good as S1.

I don't mind watching that much, but the pacing is unbearably slow so far.

Pretty much. If you liked those you can check some of the OVAs.

You're the one trying to make the argument. First you have to state why you think Bellri is a poorly written character and then we can debate you on the matter. I'm not sure is this what you call "the burden of proof", but a similar concept at least.

ZZ is probably one of the worst anime I forced myself to finish.

Yes.

08th MS team is the only decent one, 0083 and Unicorn are schlock but had good production values, worth watching. The rest is just schlock.

Attached: 1524322348994.png (800x600, 704K)

Those 4 are a complete story in their own right. Everything else in UC is side stories (0080, 0083, 08th MS Team, IGLOO) or a self contained story (Victory, F91, Turn A, G-Reco. All of these are also late UC, so far in the future they're pretty distant from the events of the first 4 entries). Actually Unicorn takes place after CCA but a lot of people don't like it and it really is unnecessary.

08th MS Team is legitimately the worst UC entry.

I will never know what people see in 08th MS. For as good as the ground combat and the first half are, the Romeo and Juliet subplot was terrible, the siscon villain was stupid even by Gundam standards, and the only thing worthwhile in the latter half was the Gouf fight. And there was that godawful last episode too.

Attached: 1447234769772.gif (270x180, 2.5M)

gundam is not anime, it is mecha

Just finished re-watching G, for it's 25th anniversary coming up soon. I somehow forgot how cheesy the whole thing was, but still quite entertaining.
youtube.com/watch?v=bX77eih7_Gw

Thanks, guys. I'm downloading 0079 and will be watching this week.

Thank you too.

The kids in 79 were fine additions to the cast, and not annoying little shits like most anime kids.

Prove me wrong.

What a shame

People who disliked his shows won't rewatch bad shows to have subjective "proof" of bad writing. It is just another mediocre production we barely remember. We only remember it being bad. It seems as if you are deeply offended by the fact that people dislike it by demanding proof of our criticism.

>you dislike this? why?
>this reason? do you have proof?
Maybe on /m/ you might go on rambling about these, but on Yea Forums we don't really care about mecha shows enough. We aren't trying to convince you guys that those shows are bad. We are just stating our opinions.

?

The romance subplot was terrible but it was just that, a subplot, I wouldn't say that MC was any more stupid that other gundam MCs.
It's simply a decent anime with good direction, choreography, animation and passable plot. It's also the most realistic gundam and appeals to people who are just into sci fi and and don't piss their pants at the sight of giant robot. It makes the rest of the series look like supermecha.

You're about to waste a lot of time watching a low quality toy commercial

No, I'll be able to understand the jokes about Camille being autismo and a girl and Char being great, I think.

>Watching a show for le epic reddit memes
Gundam is pure redditry and this proves it

Ignore the shitposter.

Enjoy this frame of Amuro eating a sandwich.

Attached: mood: Amuro.jpg (960x720, 167K)

man I loved stardust memory, it had a great villain cast who actually succeeded multiple times and the main character wasn't a born gifted newtype wonderpilot who won every battle. And there was an amazon woman in it who didn't end up getting killed so that's cool.

0080 is one of the best gundam ovas-- if you have patience and you're not a sperg who just wants to see shit explode, you can appreciate succinct anti-war message.

0083 is peak kino topgun for the first half-- gets bogged down by writer switch in the second half and has shitty love-triangle, but still manages to be pretty okay. God-tier animation.

08th MS team has some of the worst romance-- it only makes up for that shitty plot by introducing some really great jungle environment and animation. Pretty bad story tho.

Thunderbolt December Sky is peak kino because it tells a simple story and doesn't have too many plotholes. It can be considered alternate universe if you want, but fits in decently with the 0079 universe.

0079 is bad, but I love it
Zeta is even worse, but I still love it-- a lot of weird shit about women and I laughed my ass off when I first saw-- one of the main antagonist is a male feminist
ZZ- goofy for the first half, gets serious later on. it aged as badly as 0079 and zeta.

All pretty lovable but seriously awful.

Turn A gundam is okay at best-- still has weird characterization, dialogue, and plot holes-- but not bad. Would put it slightly better than the 0079 trilogy-- has a god-tier soundtrack tho. Def check out 'Moon.'

Unicorn- nostalgia milking, pretty bad story.
great animation and action tho.

gundam is a good meme. def cool factor over logical story tho.

Attached: a4egundam_0080_06h-264-mkv_snapshot_15-10_2015-05-05_15-10-07.jpg (704x480, 45K)

At least watch the movies instead. I sympathize the desire to learn classic, but there's no need to be too hard on yourself.

I'm just curious because I see the criticism about the characters everywhere but I never felt they were especially bad when I watched the series. I don't give a shit if you don't like Gundam but if you spam a single criticism enough people are going to start wondering what the hell you mean, especially if they didn't experience it themselves while watching the series.

>It's also the most realistic gundam
I heard this before I watched it and I didn't really get it. I was expecting it to go further with the realism than it did but it seemed like same old same old to me. And I'm into sci-fi but I don't really think watered down Apocalypse Now with mechs is especially good sci-fi. I like me some space battles.

Who's shitposting? Gundamfags who spout Gundam as some amazing masterpiece are shitposters

Kill yourself.

>And I'm into sci-fi but I don't really think watered down Apocalypse Now with mechs is especially good sci-fi. I like me some space battles.
Mechs on the ground are by default more sci fi than mechs in space, as tehre's even less points having limbs in space that on the ground.

But every shot in Gundam misses.

youtu.be/gV2V73GtyRQ

To this day i still dont understand what people see in Victory, in a series where people do dumb shit all the time time we have this fucking abortion where everyone reacts in the least believable ways to any scenario or is downright retarded. Every fucking death that was supposed to evoke an emosion in me only left me staring at the screen asking "Did that really just happen?"

Fuck Victory.

Attached: shit.jpg (303x166, 12K)

Well, even Tomino hated Victory.

Gundam is shit overall
if you watched more than 1 part you are literally like a toddler who knows what's coming but keeps watching the same episode again and again

It was too long and Tomino took his desire to kill everyone to such a high level that it got repetitive. I'm still glad I watched it but I doubt I'll ever want to watch it again. Also it had a character named Kate Bush, which is cool.

Attached: GundamVictoryFuala.webm (640x480, 2.19M)

To be honest, I liked it because it was a perfect fusion of Zeta's second half edge combined with ZZ's first half goofiness. The fucking land battleship is a perfect example of this, it looks absolutely retarded, but at the same time killing hundreds by just running over whole towns while being practically invincible.

Also, just in terms of fight scenes, it was fun to watch Uso consistently asspull his way out of every situation without the use of stock footage.

Attached: victory saber boomerang.webm (640x480, 2.11M)

>>>r/cringe

Amuro and his mother were both in the movie trilogy though

Victory in general was really bizarre and surreal which is part of why I still like it even though I know it has tons of problems. When they were talking about the guillotine early on I thought it was some space laser or something but no, it was a fucking wooden guillotine from 18th century France.

It definitely has a ton of problems, but damn if I didn't enjoy the ride.

Attached: guillotine.gif (410x317, 3.75M)

This, I fell asleep part way while watching CCA. The only thing I remember is that little shit stain hathaway, and how much I laughed when quess was killed...

I feel you there. I'm watching it right now and it's so dumb and weird for no reason.
15 episodes in and it's doing nothing for me. What the fuck Tomino.

who was in the wrong here?

>who was wrong
char
he's a giga nihilist bitch

the illusion of society must always be kept to promote order

Unicorn is just anime Undertale/SU.
Prove me wrong

I don't see why this is even a question. Char tried to drop a fucking asteroid on Earth because, 14 years later, he was still supremely butthurt that Amuro killed the girl who could have been a mother to him.

Honestly I feel more and more indifferent to it. It's for mecha anime what Batman is to capeshit comics, as far as I'm concerned.

Literally /our guy/

I'm rewatching 0079 at the moment and it really picks up at around episode 9 or 10. Just finished 12, the one that ends with Gihren's speech. It was great.

I rewatched Turn A for the first time in 10 years recently, and I think it might be my favorite anime now

based

They literally have nothing in common. What a stupid fucking post.
I too watched SDF before 0079, but I literally cannot see how you'd compare them in ANY way.

Can i skip victory?

Zeta was fucking great. My favorite part of the franchise. I liked Thunderbolt too. IBO was okay because Barbatos Lupus is my gunfu.

I love you soooooo!

Victory is literally the last of UC, what would you watch after you skip it? I recommend watching it since Uso is based as fuck(highest kill count in all of UC) I also recommend watching Gundam X, the only time Romance work in Gundam shows.

Went to shit after they turned off the homo.

A lot of emotional progression is really weird, for example Kai is affected for 5 movie minutes by Miharu's death and then goes back to his snarky comments.

That's like 99% of anime.
