Jagaaaaaan is such a letdown, the life and death of this character (Roba) exemplify why that is. It's essentially capeshit with a twist, but the twist is actually interesting. Instead of having people like Peter Parker get their powers and just so happening to have a perfect moral code to be superheroes the premise is that to even receive powers you have to be a monumentally fucked up, mentally unstable son-of-a-bitch; bare minimum. The MC fills the hero roll not out of a moral obligation but only to fulfill his autistic-school-shooter esque need to kill things and he was frequently shown in parallel to Roba to illustrate that even though he was MC and no matter what good came of it he was still just a selfish-fucked in the head mutant fulfilling his own sick urges and him dying was his only true out. Instead what we get now is the author pussying out of all of that interesting shit, killing Roba before any meaningful confrontation can occur, replacing him some body-swapping non-character, and worst doing a complete 180 on the MC now he’s literally just unironically spiderman now
