Vigilantes

Holy shit why is this so much better than the main series? I hope it gets an anime. Also Pop is the best.

>why is this so much better than the main series?
Because Koichi is a better Deku than Deku.

Completely lost interest once knuckleduster left

Crawler is a much better main character.

Is that a flat girl or a trap?

The stakes weren't raised through the fucking roof right from day one and they can succeed or fail without it being a national emergency

She's a flat girl street pop idol

But he's back.

took too long, i speedread through some chapters after he left. The lack of real villain and that american hero ruined it for me

Pop being a trap would've been a pretty good twist but girl Pop is still good

Can there be actual thread about this instead just talking how its better than main manga and nothing more (mosty by shitposters and false flaggers).

It's better because Hori isn't writing it.

this + there's actual superhero shenanigans, not endless tedious training sequences and arbitrary tests that lead to nothing

I feel like the being able to use his powers in the air was a step too far. Up until then his growth felt very down to earth and logically tied to what we knew about his powers in the beginning: three point contact on a surface allows him to propel himself around. This eventually grows to him being able to propel himself up a wall, push himself off the surface, and also train to become faster and more agile while doing it. All of it felt like it was in keeping with his powers as they had been introduced while still giving him room to grow and deepen his understanding of him.

Turning it into a floating ability just didn't fit and feels like the author needed to introduce some kind of epic climactic power up moment common to these sorts of stories over trying to keep within in the bounds as had been laid out.

I kind of got bored after Knuckle left and there were so many chapters back-to-back about Pop just doing idol shit. Has it gotten better?

yeah the captain redemption was nice hopefully he survives

I mean, is kinda neat.

It became way too much of a cameo fest that pretty much completely dropped the Vigilantes angle. Honestly even in the beginning, the only really strong aspects were Koichi and Knuckle Duster. And the story constantly having to make them bigger and bigger just seems to dilute them further and further, as noted.

Where do you even read this now I remember that there was a Tumblr but I can't remember it for the life of me. Why does no one pick this up?

>Speadread

>look at my baby everyone and my character growth
>Phew.. almost forgot to raise my death flags before my big fight.

So how is All might a thing when C.C does everything he does but better and while flying and cheating on his wife? What rank would C.C and All Might even have in America?

Man, talking about his powers like that made me think that if he ever managed to get into the hero school, he would have become a quite skillfull hero.
I mean, imagine him beign able to propel, grab and push with each extremity of his body. I can see that, with a proper fighting technique and reactions, he could be a very agile fighter who could do incredible movements

>Koichi is a better Deku than Deku
This. Also, Knuckeduster is what Deku was supposed to be, a Batman in a world of superpowers but the editor stooped him

I also stopped following it after that. I’ll probably catch up in a couple weeks when I have spare time.

Isn’t it now implied Knuckleduster lost his acceleration quirk?

I wish it had a faster release schedule

Well, you can blame Pop for that.

that's the whole point of the series, dumbo

It is. DIO seems to know him as well, which is probably why he wasn't in the group so they can reveal that later.

american hero is based

Captain Celebrity is just a slightly above average superhero though, even without his original temperament.

He's no 1 in America. His strength is probably on par with Endeavor.

He’s a top-ranked hero, but we don’t know if he’s number 1

I do not see someone with "slightly above the strength of the average hero" or endeavor level strength hold up one of the biggest buildings in Japan with one hand, while that building is currently hosting 50,000 hostages and the actual top echelon of Japanese pro heroes in the building are making comments that Captain Celebrities strength would come in handy in the fight while also being forced to tank the repeated explosions to the face un-guarded while carrying said building with one hand.
