There are a lot of anime from the 80s and 90s, especially animator pet project OVAs, that aren't very good from an objective standpoint and can often be hard to convince other people to watch and enjoy with the same vigor I would.
Same thing for schlocky exploitation movies from the 70s or monster B-movies from the 50s and 60s.
I'm just sayin' I had fun watching it, but can understand that not everyone will. Especially Maze, as its pacing was pretty slow and low-budget even for the 90s. Even Sorcerer Hunters managed to keep a fairly brisk pace and the action moving forward mostly consistently.

Yeah, the TV series really toned down the risque outfits Chocolate and Parfait wear when they transform.
The manga/LN outfits show up in the final episode, but then the climax just stops and we go straight to the denouement without even getting a final showdown with Zacher Torte.
I still liked Sorcerer Hunters and had a lot of fun along the ride, even if the ending was pretty blue-balling.

The movie was lost since it never got a home release after the cinema run and not only that but the original uncensored masters of the anime are lost and can only be found in LD quality and the latest BD release is the censored version meaning no nipples and no movie...so lost forever.
The worst part is that not many people care, the sountrack for the movie did got released but you can only hear the ending theme on youtube since all download links are dead...

Maze is awesome. Main character is a cute girl genderbending into a less rapey Rance with an overpowered mecha.
