I love it! One of the best anime's I've seen from this decade. They improved a lot from the manga, but Im sometimes a little dissapointed when they cut stuff from the manga (Hopefully they'll keep pic related in)

i believe most of Hyakki's mom scenes are anime only, the goddess of mercy subplot as well
i also believe in the original Daigo just made the deal for power instead of for the good of his country/people
the backstory for Hyakki adoptive dad is also anime only

Don't forget that the outcome of the Banmon arc was totally revised, Tahomaru should have died there, and the mother didn't run on the battlefield to stop them. Also Hyogo and Mutsu are anime only characters.
The villain of the black-faced Buddha arc is basically a whole different character in the manga.
