The worst thing i could say about OP's art is that i can get "cluttery" at times and feel like there's too much at once, especially when pages are filled with text bubbles (this isn't to say that having lots of them is bad in and of itself), i don't know why these autistic niggers pretend like HxH never had periods where its art was weaker, Oda's art never felt like it regressed and neither did Togashi's, they both had periods where their art wasn't at it's best for personal reasons but it never "went backwards".

The narration is important. Dealing with so many perspectives / characters all who have their own objective / destination amidst all the chaos in the palace just really shows how hard Togashi tried to pull all of it together and give everyone character a reason for being there. Some might find it boring or bad storytelling but I look at it as pretty ambitious and unique in the way everything worked out.

He’s nihilistic and nuanced in such a way that he becomes sort of unpredictable and fantastic to watch.

Togashi deserves nothing except our eternal gratitude for creating HxH. It is essentially the only media currently existing that has a transcendental value, or is brimming with subtle emotion. The aesthetic employed within it is so often taken from european culture, and there's so many stories that deal with european mythology or are inspired by white civilization. But even when an manga deals exclusively with japanese culture, the emotional resonance is there. Why? Because the root of both the japanese and whites is the same. What is this root? Is it something immaterial like a soul, a word of God that materialized and solidified in both our cultures and psyches? Or is it just the end result of racial purity? I don't know. But I do know that HxH has provided a glimpse into that which both races and cultures dreamed off and desired for eons.
HxH is the ONLY form of entertainment suitable for consumption if you are a self-respecting white male. And as time goes on we can see the divide between those who have taste and those who do not, and I'm glad we're having this divide. HxH is the high culture of the 20th and 21st century, something that is a genuine creative effort devoid of dubious ideologies. It is a piece of eternity given to us and expressed by us. It is OUR artform and OUR defiance to the filth of movies, actors, celebrities and the whole Western media apparatus. It eclipsed them completely. It rendered them obsolete.

It I guess deserves some praise that Oda can still make his readers laugh and be interested in story after years of publication.

It's a fun series from my childhood with good characters, creative abilities, and a huge lively world that invites an enjoyable adventure with plot progression. More specifically, the variety between islands/arcs keeps the formulaic structure fresh, while also rooting it in similarity so that it feels consistent. My only real issue with HxH is that the arcs don't flow into each other nicely and they a lot of the time feel like completely separate entities. OP's kinda just something to read that's enjoyable without having to follow a complex plot or read into subtleties and nuance, same reason someone'd watch a SoL or something.
And yes I like the humor, sorry I'm not an antisocial edgelord, and I can actually laugh at lowbrow goofy faces and slapstick

All fights are based on plot armor. Luffy isn't even powerful enough to defeat crocodile. If there was no plot armor Luffy would be dead. Crocodile killed Luffy thrice. Even in last fight, luffy keeps fighting after getting poisoned. How stupid can this get? In Lucci v. Luffy, luffy gets blows that would directly kill him but he keeps somehow standing on his two feets because he made some ridiculous promise to himself. Every single fight has this shit.

I agree. Still doesn't take away from my enjoyment of it. I'm not one to care about dumb shit like that in a supernatural fantasy/adventure manga for kids. Sure if it was a more realistic and adult story I would have a problem with it, but it's pretty much inconsequential in a story where you can already guess the ending of an arc when it starts. Oda could've written the fights in a way where Luffy wouldn't have required plot armor, and the amount of injuries he sustains throughout the series are consistent, so it's not like it's a huge story breaking plot hole or anything.

Togashi's parents managed a company which sold papers, painting tools, stationery and manga magazines. His father's hobby was drawing.
Togashi was going to become a junior high school art teacher, but gave up right after he started his internship. This was because he was afraid that his own words might influence students directly.
He couldn't afford to buy a single desk, so he used a drawer as desk when drawing manga. Togashi said it was painful since his legs couldn't put under the drawer
The first manga serialization for him was Ten de Showaru Cupid ("An Ill-tempered Cupid in Heaven"). It became pretty famous, but it finished earlier than expected (chapter 32). Togashi now regrets that he should have prepared a rough plot till the finale before serialization.
Togashi considers character's personality is sometimes important than story. The ending of Chimera Ant arc was not what he expected at first. He makes a simulation about how his characters will talk with each other and take an action in specified situations, which allows his audience to feel as if his characters really exist.
In Chimera Ant arc, Togashi enjoyed making a super long list as to how his characters would take actions since 10 days before invasion in Royal Palace. He wanted to draw characters in desperate situations taking an unexpected action when they came across someone accidentally. Editor gives exmaples such as encounters between Morel and Shaiapouf/ Killua and Meleoron.
About drawing style, Togashi decided to draw Yu Yu Hakusho impressively and Level E realistically. In Hunter Hunter, he keeps in mind that he should not use screentones as possible as he can.
While Togashi is drawing manga, he listens to TV show ad enjoys talking about it with his assistants.
