Off topic, can someone tell me how restrictions are measured? say if a manipulator wanted to only manipulate metal and made a death pledge to for it to happen, essential becoming a budget magneto, would his nen be multiplied based on how many elements are in the world that manipulator is now losing access to? or Is the death pledge a static boost that gives the same super multiplier for every user and it's the only multiplier that takes affect?

There is no specified multiplier, but the weaker that the limitation makes the user, the stronger the ability will become.
You essentially gain what you give away. If you give away the ability to kill half of earths population, your ability to kill the other half would double.

how would you nen know how many people are on earth? is it determined by the current information you have ? or does nen just know how many there are and is self aware? what if I limit myself to being only able to manipulate that one metal element and there are actually 100,000 elements in the known universe? would my 130 nen become 13,000,000 nen just like that? what if multiverse theory is correct and there are an infinite number of earths? therefor you can only kill half of infinity which would result in your nen being multiplied infinitely. I'm not criticizing nen btw it just seems a bit to easy to cheat the system

The effects of the restrictions you are proposing are too broken and would mean that nobody would have a reason to not use them. Ie, "my manipulation only works on humans, so it is billions of times stronger than an ability that could also manipulate bacteria and innanimate objects". Absurd. Restrict your ability to " humans who want to harm me" and you are basically unbeatable.
The boost is psychological and Nen is a psychic power, so the effect will presumably be what the user would genuinely believe fair for the restriction after some introspection, plus some abstraction of his will to uphold the vow. Ie, Kurapika's vow isn't just "I can only use this ability against the Phantom Troupe", but a " my own chain will pierce my heart if I use it against someone else", and a manifestation of his own "I can't see a spider without feeling rage" psychology.
So your character's backstory, and how handy you believe your metal restriction would be would play a role in the efficiency of the metal manipulation.

His whole character arc was wavering back and forth and not knowing what he wanted until the very end when he finally dedicates himself fully to Komugi. So if he survived longer he might have developed a gungi-based ability or something related to Komugi.
Maybe building further on his transmutation technique of turning his aura into visible light which he started developing before he died.

Either way you end up with a lot of unclear cases, like "Was Hisoka ever REALLY a spider since his tattoo was fake and he doesn't actually care about the organization?", which Togashi manages to dodge moderately well.

ok SO if i'm reading this right, you can only make a restriction that you are psychologically strong enough of making. So a person who is too afraid of death would be incapable of creating a death pledge? so that must be why we don't see a bunch of nen novices pull a "I don't care if this is the end" just before they are about to get killed, you need to have the stones to actually go through with it. So a metal only restriction would only be possible if that manipulator was a seasoned vet and had nerves of steel. But

Would you really need any serious conviction to use the metal restriction? because it would only be a flat power boost with little downsides so therefore it wouldn't be scary at all to do requiring little mental fortitude, therefore would be applicable for nen novices to use. But if we follow the definition of a nen boost that you just gave me;

Meaning that you need greater amounts of Nen to Pull of greater and more broken restriction’s in the first place, which would subdue the fear of nen novices pulling absurd broad restriction out of there ass as soon at they learn nen. In which case I think I just answered my own question, thank you helping me understand nen better, it's not as easy to cheat as I thought it was.

Palm’s positioning here and the way her cheeks are drawn remind me of da Vinci’s sketches.
Togashi does a good job drawing weird Lovecraftian shit. Notice how the second face, the one on the gun, is more pronounced then Youpi’s actual face, which Togashi shows close up in the bottom panel. The Dark Continent is going to be great.
