*Let's have some fun.
My apologies, 4chanX decided to send early. Here's mine, see if you can guess what it is;

I think that's it to be honest.

Nobody dies.

HxH?

Hunter X Hunter

What gave it away?

Hiatuses, Protag wears green and closet gay antagonist.

I'll bite. Here's one for The Slayers. Justifications:

High School: Nope
Loves to eat: Both Lina and Gourry
Sleep / Lazy: I balked at this one. Lina has her moments, but I wouldn't describe her as lazy. Gourry is the sleeper.
Simple Minded: Gourry yes, Lina no.
Loves to fight: Not really. I don't consider magic a martial art either.
Delinquent: I think Lina qualifies.
Villain -> Ally: Happens a couple of times.
Dies: Nope.
Green: Nope.
Power scaling: Not really?
Hiatus: I put "no", but it depends on what you mean I guess.
Toei: E&G films originally then JC Staff
FS: Taken!
Final arc sucks: More like seasons. Try, R-evolution, and Evolution-R all blow.
Existential Crisis: Not really. Unless you count LIna's issues with her sister.
Villain redemption: Rezo.
Goes too long: See "final arc sucks".
Jump Force: Nope.
No anime?: Nope.
Fighting game?: Nope, bunch of RPGs and a couple of strategy games tho.
Unique Fighting System: Not really. Magic is hardly unique.
Tabletop game / TCG: Based on D&D campaigns.
Over?: God I hope so.
> 20 Years: Yep.

>implying Luffy isn't going to die at the end

Long-running Gay Green Hiatuses

Wrong, it is not One Piece, but the protagonist is basically a pirate expy of the one Im talking about.

What happens if it gets bingo?

It sucks.

Looks like this one sucks the most then:

DBZ?

Dragonball

No.

You're goddamn right.

You said it is represented in Jump Force and ran for more than 20 years but didn't have hiatuses. By default it would have to be One Piece unless you are cheating and saying the franchise began more than 20 years ago and has had spin-offs.

I'm having hard times figuring out which antagonist had a redemption through death. Piccolo and Vegeta both became good through the course of the story. I haven't read Super though.

Vegeta dies in the Buu Saga, where he sacrifices himself to stop Majin Buu and save his family. This is kind of where his arc climaxes. Piccolo protects Gohan when he jumps in front of Nappa's blast.

Dragonball as a franchise started in 1984, the manga didnt end until 1995, and even then it had the anime, GT, movies, spinoffs, etc.
The last Z related material was as recently as Resurrection F, it's been quite consistent.

But Vegeta's been a good guy for a long time at that point, albeit a bit of a dick.

Doesn't really work with non-battle shonens.

Yeah, and remember that at the beginning of the arc he willingly fell under Bobbidi's control and killed all those people at the Budokai Tenkaichi?

It has a sequel though.

*1 - I'm willing to bet that'll happen at some point.
I'm also kinda stretching the concept of an arc villain for the "becomes an ally" square.

While it is fun to try to guess, these ones that have barely anything are nearly impossible, so tell us the names so we can tell you whether you're wrong on stuff or not.

My Hero Academia

Yup.

Put an X for "simple minded / pure" for Deku.
"Loves to fight" is questionable for Deku as well, because his hero instincts are through the roof.
I would also question "power scaling issues" and existential crisis. Lastly if you're going to predict a former antagonist death being likely in the future you might as well check off "too long" because that's fucking inevitable for BHA.

>I would question power scaling issues
>protagonist literally has a "punch really fucking hard" power that can output more force than anyone else in the cast
Aight

>only 3

Absolutely based

Deku's too far from simple-minded. His whole shtick is that he's very analytical. His hero instinct is about saving people, he doesn't like to fight. I can't think of a moment that could be counted as his existential crisis. I don't think there are power-scaling issues, the world itself is set so that quirks can range from barely anything to world-breaking; the true issue with powerlevels come when something that has been established as an impossibly high level suddenly gets denoted into lower tier because the author needs to up the stakes, see DBZ. Finally, the whole "too long" square I find too subjective in general, I mean there's one for direct length over the years, so "too long" must mean some sort of personal assessment of whether it goes on for too long for its amount of content, which I wouldn't say even about One Piece, because all of its arcs feel as a natural progression of a story.

Whoops, this pic is for another shonen and wasn't meant to be related to the argument.

Muhyo & Roji?

Nope

Almost.

Ah shit. Remove "protag is in highschool", I forgot he was in middle school.

>Protag wears green
I don't understand this meme?

Yusuke, Gon, Deku... There's a few who wear green.

Wears green is much less generic desu
>Protag is associated with color BLACK or ORANGE
That fits with half of long running shounen.

What's so confusing about having an accompanying tabletop/tcg, just type in "[series name] tcg" or some shit

Death Note?

I don't think anyone will guess this, though it's a pretty popular series. Clue: monthly manga that ended in 2015

>Deku's too far from simple-minded. His whole shtick is that he's very analytical.
He's supposed to be, but from everything I've read he's simple minded, especially as the series goes on.

Fewer than I thought I'd get.
Clue: has had an anime season within the last year.

Even that single one is rather weak.

Give more clues
Green stripes is really throwing me off. Can't think of a single character who fits that.

wow mahou shoujo site is the best

If you consider the other dude the MC then you can add loves to eat and good at fighting on there.

Attached: ongoing.png (535x600, 95K)

It has an anime within the last 12 months

Attached: Aotsuki.Ushio.full.1859076.jpg (700x700, 279K)

>high school
>simple/pure MC
>arc villain becomes ally
>anime by Toei
>series is over

Shokugeki no Souma?

And it's based on a manga?
How literally should I take "fighting" system?

Surely that would count for a number of the squares including high school, final arc is the worst, power scaling issues etc

Meant for

I would tick arc villain becomes ally though if it's Souma

Gash Bell fits that description perfectly.

Yes, it's a manga. The good guys basically use swordsmanship with visual fairs.

Haven't read/watched far past the beginning and thought he might be trying to be sneaky since it's technically a cooking school rather than a high school.

>>Haven't read/watched far past the beginnin
You should drop by the manga threads, it's such hot garbage it's funny.

Attached: 1534827486019.png (945x1300, 485K)

I don't know if he really counts as delinquent

Attached: Capture+_2019-04-15-09-36-48.png (720x806, 291K)

Nope.

No fucking idea then.

>trashed by Asahi who wasn't even using Cross Knives
>is going to somehow win the rematch with the power of "hard work" and friendship
Can't wait to see how Soma asspulls his way out of this mess.

Attached: 1551825663098.jpg (762x690, 477K)

One thing I missed: the protag does wear a checkered outfit with green on it.

Attached: 1555201585338.jpg (1919x1089, 886K)

Clue: colours of bingo card remind me of the anime colour scheme a little.
Oh that's too easy now, Kimetsu
