Overlord is an intriguing setup but the writer isn't very good at it.
The main narrative is just hinted at and nothing in the grand scheme of things ever moves forward, every arc is just the usual "let's introduce new characters and then forget about them" stuff when it comes to these stories and it will stay like that until he actually decides to move the plot and conclude the story.
I mean if you love the main cast then it's good since you're just enjoying Ainz&Co chrazy adventures, but from an outside standpoint it's not a very good story.
