Why is this surprising? HF was bound for an adaptation since it was the only route left to cover. Fate got it's adaptation back in 2006 while UBW got a film in 2010. Until Ufotable stepped in, Fate was the only route of the original three that had a "decent" adaptation. With how successful the trilogy has been so far-Presage Flower covered the most tame part of route yet reached 100k copies in terms of BD-I don't see the adaptations stopping. It's possible that they cover Fate after they finish with the trilogy so that Ufotable has all three routes under their belt, or maybe they'll try F/HA.
