The girls are all pretty cute, but most of they’re characters are really annoying that I can’t stand them. But if you liked nisekoi you’ll defintely dig this shit for sure.

It's possible to get to Spiders in 13 eps.

I mean some chapters are just short, like the next two chapters are just Tanjirou training and half of the first chapter is literally just exposition with background drawings.

You can easily do both training chapters, and get halfway into the next chapter ending with him entering after the rules of selection are explained (it also allows the rest of the cast to cameo), or go even further and end with the first appearance of the demon who kept killing the mist students.

So very roughly I can see it be

Ep3:End with seeing the demon.
Ep4: Finish the test, and end with his return or him getting the blade
Ep5: Possibly get blade here, and finish demon mission
Ep6: Meet Muza end with start of attack on Tamiyo's house
Ep7: The entire fight, then end at the end of ch19.
Ep8-9: Drum House + some recovery
Ep 10-13: Th entire Spider-arc

If it's really 13 per cour, at 13 you can stretch things out a bit more and at 11 it's gonna be tight or end on a clifhanger.

Pig Assault is by user editing the HS sub to fit the manga better. Take that as you want.

well it's personal preference but some scenes or dialogues could lose some of their context. For example, people can speculate the relationship between akaza and the girl in his flashback by honorifics used in the dialogue. The honorifics is a tool author can use to imply relationship or personality of characters. And the tengu - goblin thing to me is too much. it remind me of the 'this is delicious donut' meme. Judging from the setting of the serie it would be better to left it as tengu. And if they still don't bother translating 'hashira' why translating tengu?

Maybe he misspelled in his post but he said the season will end "after the spider arc" which means it will go past the spider arc. It wouldn't be possible to only get to the spider arc in 26 episodes, that is a rate of less than 2 chapters per episode.

Spider arc ends with Chapter 44. We know Episode 5 covers through Chapter 9. So 21 episodes to cover 35 chapters would be 1.6 chapters per episode.

I don't watch a lot of anime so I could be wrong about this but they explicitly put Genya from Chapter 53 in the opening. That means they are at least animating up until the train arc or having a cliffhanger at the start of it since that chapter directly begins the train arc.

Exactly. But Kanao is from the beginning of the arc while Genya is from the end after we've already seen Muzan kill the Lower Moons and Tanjiro is fully recovered. It directly leads into the train arc so if they animate that, odds are they would just do the train arc as it is a better resolution that completely leaves room to be hyped for a Season 2 but also gives you a satisfying story on its own if the anime never comes back.

I think because of pic. Tanjirou seems to be the main one who goes to town and two of his siblings sometimes come. So, it would be his family except Tanjirou dies/becomes a demon or maybe those two siblings live if he had the cart and brought them along.
Also, he is the oldest son and thus the successor to his father's role as patriarch and the Fire God stuff. I don't think Tanjirou and Nezuko are quite interchangeable.

For the first episode, no. Ueno-san also got 90.5% (the same rating as Kimetsu's first episode). It's rare for a first episode to get more than 90%, but the ratings will usually get higher while it's airing. Things like PriPara and Shinkalion usually have a +95% rating in every episode.

It will probably higher next episode when 2 new characters are introduced. I can't wait for animefags to waifu Rabbit only to realize later that she's dead.

The Viz translation has many significant differences with our version.
In this page of Viz version , the martial art guy said "They called me because people are about to kill a child", which is the exact opposite of our translation, and probably wrong given the context.
In this page , the guy said "my wife was exhausted from nursing our daughter, and she drowned herself the other day" which implies that the wife committed suicide out of desperation , and it just happened recently.
Lastly, Akaza commented "We're alike" which is obvious wrong, because he was comparing Tanjirou to the martial art guy.
Consider that Viz translation for the last part, and possibly the first part, is wrong, I'd bet they got the second part wrong too. One more proof for why we need to stick with Yea Forums translation. I just happened to read this one chapter, but they already fucked it up so badly. Who knows how they butchered the translation elsewhere.

This is also one of the best point in the manga. Daki and Gyuutarou is like a different mirror image of Tanjirou and Nezuko. They're different, but both of them want to protect her little sister, even Gyuutarou resort to become a demon.

Gyuutarou is a fantastic villain. He's an innate monster with justifiable motivations and a great foil to Tanjirou, and that last scene with Daki was top tier.

This, Akaza only gets triggered when you are stronger than him, but is civil when you are weaker and even friendly if you are around his level. He was pretty okayish with Gyokko and Hantengu, even though they were both total weirdos.

Daki was too much of a bratt to have gotten along with anyone among UM, maybe Douma to a degree.

I don't think he needs any head gimmick. He probably just has a physically superior demon body and 500 years to perfect his Sun Breath. In general humans make up the difference in Demon arts, physical strength and regeneration through Breaths, superior finesse and determination, but Kokushibou has all of those advantages.
It was confirmed that demons can use breaths by Kaigaku and from what we've seen Kokushibou definitely has finesse. He may not be as determined as our heroes, but either way he seems to be a Demon hunter, but better.
Also, Kaigaku a Demon hunter demon wasn't that that strong, but I think the author said something like "if Kaigaku fought Zenitsu after he got used to his body Kaigaku would be a lot tougher". Even in that fight Zenitsu's finesse and speed won him the battle, but Kokushibou doubtlessly has him beat in those departments.

Breath of the Moon when

I think Kokushibou might actually BE the sword, actually. It would certainly explain why a Sun Breath user became a Demon despite how contradictory that seems.

Would be cool, and could make sense given the Demon Train and the Demon Sash. Could be too that the sword is posessing him/controlling him. Im pretty much convinced Sunbro whole deal was that Kokushibou was someone precious to him, and by turning him into a demon Muzan made sure sunbro wouldnt kill him (since the demons would die and Sunbro would be killing a person he loves).

I feel his short speech to Kaigaku about how some people reject the blood and it takes days for them to turn into a demon might be giving some hints on him too. His slow speech patterns suggest him being controlled, but at the same time, he shows actual devotion to Muzan in that scene. So yeah, could be the sword.

one of them encounter um 5 and the fight start. then the others come up and help. I think it would be wind that face um first and genya try to help(solve the siblings problem). or inosuke and genya try to fight um 5 then wind come up to land finish blow and say genya is useless(the problem continue). but it would be hilarious if wind doesn't encounter any um.

On second thought, it might make sense to show the purpose/might/effect of the demon slayers abstractly as the breath of sun/fire itself.

Gyokko is either terrible writing or he is still alive. We explicitly know there is still an UM5 and Gyokko is the only Upper Moon who was never confirmed to die. So either way, Wani is intentionally implying he's alive. If he is actually dead, it was just a cheap tactic to create a surprise when the new UM5 is revealed and at the cost of what could have been one of the more interesting Moons as a character. I suspect he is dead because he's such a gimmick as a power that it probably wouldn't be impressive if he comes back, but the only reason he couldn't get a flashback is to maintain the illusion that he's alive for the sake of a dumb twist. Hantengu's flashback was one page, it's not like Gyokko needed a full chapter. He could have had even a couple panels on one page like earlier dying demons.

The problem is that he has been defeated already so killing him for reals is just not that interesting.

My headcanon is that he's fucking (and getting fucked) left and right to get a demon hybrid descendant that could conquer the sun.

The problem is his loss was total bullshit to begin with and based on a total lack of consistency for the sake of hyping up the autist Pillar. I think he could easily be impressive if he returned and wasn't overly confident this time, the problem would just be explaining why he ducked out of his fight and Muzan didn't kill him for it.

Douma is honestly better final villain material than Muzan is. All Muzan did for 150+ chapters was being butthurt his minions were incompetent. He better btfo one pillar or two in this arc by himself.

muzan was too happy about knowing that nezuko can walk under the sun so he stopped caring about his minions.

This is how most of the upper moon fights went. Aside from Gyokko's disappointing fight and Kaigaku the retard, the upper moons live up to the hype.

Plus, if you focused on dozens of smaller characters they wouldn't be able to get the same degree of development that most of the pillars are getting.

Yes they do. Akaza solo'd a pillar the first time and it took two pillar level dudes with marks to kill him the second. He went down hard. Hantengu too, since he was fighting four demon hunters at once, and one of them was a pillar with the mark, and they still just barely won. That fight had problems but Hantengu being weak wasn't one of them.

each moon has killed hundreds of people and many old pillars but all it takes is 2 modern pillars to fuck one up. fucking zenitsu solo'd an upper moon with 1 attack but got fucked by a lower moon's minion in spider arc and he's just a normal kid that was put through training

Yes, it's supposed to be impressive. The whole point is that humans only stand a chance against the upper moons with the mark. The last time swordsmen got the marks they came within an inch of killing Muzan.

I don't see how adding some no name filler characters who get mowed down in an instant is supposed to improve things.

He only had the rank, unlike the former upper moons which had hundreds of years of experience and have eaten hundreds/thousands of people. Strength wise, he's more like one of the lower moons instead of and upper moon. Don't forget that Zenitsu can also perform full focus breaths around the clock just like MC and has endured the same hellish training together.
