Poor Alice, with her absentee senpai.

And now we've moved from the official TL to Promfret. Which has it's own set of problems. The biggest was that it was all laid out in two page spreads, which I've gone and fixed. Since I normally read manga on an ereader, those really bug me. While I was at it, I also (lazily) removed the gap from the ones that actually should be spreads. They look bad, but it's slightly better than the big empty stripe in the middle.

The chibi part was invented by the translator. There original only said kouhai-chan.

Has anyone picked up the recent English language release of Aria the Masterpiece? I got my copy recently and while it's gorgeous, I noticed it's missing chapter nine from volume two of Aqua. Is the original Japanese version like that as well?

Thanks for the dump! A pretty simple but very enjoyable chapter, even if the swimming costumes might elicit some kinshi thoughts. It does contain the doublespread with an important message for those who missed it. Akari's able to see so much beauty everywhere because of how she feels within, and I know in the past I've seen critiques from people about how overly-sentimental they felt the series was.

But, what a choice of locale. A wonderful, secret, tropical beach! Unfortunately, not such a place in our Venice. The closest thing would be the Lido, which I understand is very popular in the summer months. Though as I've only been in winter, I've never been to the Lido myself! I could go on about the many uninhabited or abandoned islands of the Venetian Lagoon instead, but I feel that trivia might be better saved for a more suitable chapter when it comes along.

Still, I can't read this chapter and not mention how particularly radiant Akira-sama looks. It's also great seeing her cut loose with Aika, definitely a marked change from their earlier interaction we see.

Thank you! I'll only consider using it as a last resort, as I do prefer posting relevant Venice images when giving out the trivia. And I don't feel Akira-sama's visage should be bandied about without a good reason, as that'd definitely make her suwa.

Alicia would be 22 now. She was 19 at the start, but it's been a little over two years and her birthday is in late spring. Akira would be 23 or about to turn 23.

I am quite convinced that manga depicts aqua, as it is distilled through akari. each chapter is a letter written by akari, so what we read is how she sees things.
