I actually like the artstyle in the 2017 series better than in the 2003 series. Kino was portrayed as kind of potato-like in the artwork for the early LNs but the 2003 anime took it to the extreme. If only the 2017 series didn't have as much CGI. The 2003 series is better at everything else though.

>The 2003 series is better at everything else though.

That's because the 2017 version didn't have Nakamura directing it. It really did made all the difference. The 2017 version is a literal interpretation of the LN so there wasn't as much surrealism as the 2003 version.

Also, for a series about Kino....like a quarter of the series wasn't about Kino.

>early 2000
Please. Those were actually the worst times since colors were oversaturated due to a lot of the studios barely having a grasp of using digital animation back then.

Yu-no

This was actually pretty good

Gohan.

I read the first volume of the LN and it's better than the 2017 anime. It is closer but it still feels kind of rushed at points. They also fucked up the order of some of the stories for some reason. Notably the order of Kino's backstory and the Kind Country. If the series was longer I wouldn't have had a problem with having stuff about Shizu and Photo (I don't know if she has any more stories but it would seem pointless for her to exist if she didn't) but for 12 episodes it was way too much non-Kino stuff. I'd still like more Kino adaptations at some point though.

Animation and character design for the second season of Moyashimon.

fujos ruins everything

Is there supposed to be a punchline here or something?

The first one kinda looks like garbage. There is no higher level of pretention than thinking that having a different look is the same as actually looking good, or that even just looking different is anything to go by.

Dammit don't remind me of that. What it did to the character designs was fucking criminal.

Underrated post.

This. The anime was still decent but the artstyle change hurt it a lot.
Don't care if the second one was more accurate to the source material, the first one was infinitely better looking.

You have to be 18 or older to post here.

Right literally looks better. Early 00s anime looked like complete trash with washed out colors, shitty cgi, weird character designs and constant off-model animation.

The show it's only visually appealing to me, if I have to watch it a hundred times to understand it, I'll pass.

You don't need to watch it 100 times, you just need to be more than 100 months old.

I agree, I watched it when it first premiered on CN and then years later properly subbed and I don't get the hype. If it's for the unique animation then why aren't things like redline and dead leaves talked about in the same regard?

The original is vastly more visually interesting. There is honestly no way you can't think this.

I find the the artstyle's so different, I think I like both of them. Both the anime and manga has something to offer.

That is incredibly easy.

Attached: f8ab94ad-27b1-416b-a463-60dc28597c82.jpg (400x600, 66K)

The anime cuts a lot of the art and has zero contrast so I can't really focus on any of it's beauty also not all of the VA's are good for their roles.
The manga has art that's beautifully simplistic and/or detailed, and I love the contrast.

I'm glad I watched the anime first because if I started with the manga I probably wouldn't have gotten into the anime. I loved the soundtrack though.

Wait are all of those the same Maou sama?

I feel like the shitty rotoscoping really helped with adapting the manga's unnerving atmosphere. It was ugly, but it worked for this particular series, IMO.

>The anime cuts a lot of the art and has zero contrast so I can't really focus on any of it's beauty
I agree with you about the manga. The author did something incredibly gorgeous with her use of lines, symmetry, contrast and flow of action. But we still got some beautiful vistas, backed by a real composition work and some of the best 3D animations made for a serialized anime.

>I'm glad I watched the anime first because if I started with the manga I probably wouldn't have gotten into the anime. I loved the soundtrack though.
Like you, I don't think I would have liked as much the anime if I had started with the manga, but I still think it retains some quality (and I really hope for a second season).

>it is OK if you manga. don't try to sugar coat it. it looks like a 8 years old trying to draw something
Because it's not over-detailed like a Berserk or Dorohedoro doesn't means it retains some serious artistic feats.

>The 2017 version is a literal interpretation of the LN so there wasn't as much surrealism as the 2003 version.
Not necessarily. I actually started reading the LN after watching the 2017 show, and some scenes in 2003 are actually more faithful than 2017 (save for Coliseum, but we all know 2003 elevated that material into something bigger overall). It's insane how much the 2017 managed to miss the mark on the very same scenes in the LN and how the 2003 show actually got the tone better in a lot of places.

I don't know how they would introduce a second season.
I mean they totally skipped past the Ghost Quartz arch, so how would they introduce Cairngorm?
Also I don't like animeonlies dirtying my series.
The CGI was great but it's clear that Ishikawa's 2D art will beat it anytime, so the anime just feels experimental and supplemental.

Looks same to me.

I think it still could be possible ]to introduce Ghost in season 2 even if, if I remember correctly, Phos already raided the library in the anime.[/spoiler That wouldn't ask a lot of plot twisting.

Particularly, stuff like Kino's escape in Land of Adults. 2017 practically skimped on the final exchange between Hermes and Kino, specifically how he motivates her to run in order live. One of the worst ones though, is how they changed the context of Kino's interpretation of the events that transpired in the Kind Land arc, wherein the 2003 series actually recreated the final scenes more faithfully.

The big ass eyes look so weird.

Attached: still swinging the rod.jpg (904x294, 79K)

>muh nostalgia
Yeah... no.

really? i just looked through episode 12 and it goes straight from padparadscha's awakening to cinnabar, so it pretty much skips all of volume 5 except beginning and ending, that's a huge fucking gap to be bridged, in any case, same with GLT, i think White Fox focuses more on advertising manga rather than replicating it

>Early 00s anime looked like complete trash with washed out colors
The washed out colors were most likely intentional though, especially since the early LN art actually resembled the washed out color palette of the 2003 show (see pic-related). On the other hand, the 2017 show is based on the vibrant color palette of the later art in the LN. So really, both shows had purpose in their art direction.

Attached: i-img1200x900-1551634841gkofzh1144209.jpg (1200x900, 70K)

the Kind land is the one with the volcanoe right?

Yeah that's the one. I was surprised to find that the 2017 show changed Kino's dialogue entirely in the final part of the arc, whereas the 2003 show played it out almost word for word.

Attached: whatwentwrong_gundams.jpg (856x614, 242K)

I didn't watch the 2017 show, could you give me a quick rundown of what the differences are?

Attached: Minami-ke_S1_E02_08m_21s.png (1280x720, 550K)

They "just" fucked up the main characters. For some reason older characters survived their designs just fine.

Attached: FIzr6kl.jpg (1920x1080, 147K)

You're probably right, my memory of that part of the manga is kind of blurry, but I still think it wouldn't be so difficult to insert what's missing.

>in any case, same with GLT, i think White Fox focuses more on advertising manga rather than replicating it
Are you sure it was White Fox in charge of publishing ? But again, you're probably right, even if it really sadden me.

Attached: old_zeta_vs_new_zeta.jpg (1593x1670, 911K)

Nah user...

She wasn't visibly shocked in the 2017 show (they barely even show her reaction) whereas the LN has her frantically shouting to Hermes if she could do something about the volcanic eruption. Also when she reads the letter, she says a completely different dialogue in the 2017 show by pretending that she doesn't care about Sakura based on her own "ego", until she found out that Sakura knew all along through her letter. In the LN, she blames the parents for their "ego" over keeping Sakura from leaving the town, but she feels guilty when she found out that Sakura knew all along and purposely stayed with her parents out of love. The 2003 show actually adapted the LN scene almost word for word which really surprised me.

Attached: whatwentwrong3.jpg (1067x554, 249K)

Turns out it's not White Fox, still though, I don't think there'll be a season two anytime soon. At the earliest it'll be when the manga ends.

The difference isn't that great in terms of quality it seems.

I thought they were both good.

How's 9-10 years? Sorry I haven't seen your favorite anime.

>fags posting manga vs anime ones
Fucking stupid, anime has entirely different economics. Yeah some adaptions do a mediocre job, but generally that's due to there being no budget for it. And even if there is budget it's not possible to put all the same detail into every single frame that goes into a single page, and they have different tasks to fill.

The glasses were added in for shitty fetish fags like you along with all the other overdone crap layered on top because more=better to shitters.

>Dorohedoro

Same actually, I watch it right around the end of June. It radiates summer energy and honestly makes me feel great. It wasn't Onegai Teacher but I mean, it grows on you after the first episode.

>the art is so awful, making it look more generic is an improvement.

Both look bretty gud user. Different sure, but I can find stuff to like about all of them.

Your Dad > You

Fuck no, the OVA was mediocre at best. The series was alright.

>I loved the soundtrack though.
I think soundtracks and soundfx are an under appreciated part of making a really good anime. Plenty of shows just dial it in, but it's one element that by definition a manga can't replicate at all, and it's cheaper to do a higher quality set of music/sounds and put some real effort into that then majorly boost the visuals. I can think of a number of more niche or lower budget shows that stuck with me (or that I stuck with) in part because of great music work, syncing with the action and all that.

Attached: 1539905554824.gif (400x279, 1.78M)

I really hope not. But, in all seriousness, it would be an hassle of the highest order to go 2D and try sticking to the original art style. I pity the studio who will be trying to adapt it.

And let's not forget we'll probably only end up with the first part of the manga, and that won't resolve anything. I can already see the anime tanking, canning any hope to see more of it later

In terms of overall story and shit? Absolutely. Purely in terms of visual design and atmosphere? Fuck off. DM in particular was an abominable example of someone making a character design way too busy by just randomly slapping on tons of different crap and fetishes.

Yeah, and as consistent as S2 was, I never really felt like the fight scenes were more memorable. It seemed like some of the staff brought on specifically for that purpose (ie Satoru Utsunomiya for action AD) weren't a good fit for the kind of action that people liked about TF since S2 wasn't nearly as violent.

Hell, even calling the second season more consistent is kind of way too generous, there are baffling errors as far back as the first episode where there's a completely static crowd shot of characters in the foreground and one of them is just inexplicably cut in half and hovering above the ground.

And the first season--even if it cut some of the lighthearted scenes in the chapters it adapted--seemed to understand the manga's tone a lot better. It did the humourous scenes more confidently (never resorted to turning characters into SD blobs in speech bubbles etc.,) and captured the manga's tongue-in-cheek self-seriousness a lot better.

S1 was just a stronger package even with all of its flaws. Stronger/more ambitious and distinct directing, better character designs, infinitely better soundtrack/sound design.

Stop pretending you're not fooling anyone.

>S1 was just a stronger package even with all of its flaws. Stronger/more ambitious and distinct directing, better character designs, infinitely better soundtrack/sound design.
>ambitious
Yeah, this in particular is a factor I'm coming to think makes a big difference. What a lot of downgrades to some extent represent is "safeness" maybe, paint by numbers, don't aim to high but in turn can't fail too hard. Like, even your example of the confident humor, that works well in S1 because they did pull it off alright but "confident" humor that is bad can be REALLY bad whereas the lazy SD blob cop out and laughtrack type stuff is hard to really fuck up.

But at the same time the end result of super safe is just something, just, mediocre. Maybe it doesn't earn too massive hate (though sometimes) but mostly just a sort of tired disgust and the it gets forgotten about, and I think that might be even worse really. Granted even on Yea Forums I can think of series clearly aiming to be super ambitious but with big flaws too that got absolutely shit on, a lot of people can't seem appreciate the best parts rather then zeroing in on the worst. Still though I'd rather see an ambitious attempt made that is then flawed then a safe one that is just lame.

>Left: generic "art"style you see 5 times in every magazine
>Right: unique piece of art worthy of the story

Isn't Studio 4C going to animate it?
But yeah, it'd be a pain in the ass to animate it. you could argue that the backgrounds "COULD" be easy if they make them in 3d and slap some gritty filter to achieve the aesthetic of the manga.
There's this fanart from pixiv a few years back that I guess could work with the art style for animation.
The problem will arise when they animate Kaiman or Risu's clothing which is very detailed.
Regarding how many episodes.. 24 at most, and it'd be a miracle... Probably up till the end of the Blue's night. Or a little further. Or it'll be the slice of life chapters only, which while It wouldn't be bad per se, Dorohedoro's myth arc is actually quite intriguing.
Also, censored as fuck with the gore and nudity.

For something like this I really think you just need to be resigned to significant simplification and alterations, and just hope they do enough to get the basic spirit across and have some soul to it. There isn't any practical way to turn a manga like that into general animation yet short of some rich patron pouring a ton of dosh into it with no real expectation of financial return, but just because they want to see the art done.

I hope for decent music and character, and that's it.

>but mostly just a sort of tired disgust and the it gets forgotten about
iirc, that ended up being what happened with the second season, especially with the final episode's epilogue which was that uncorrected, uncredited, wobbly Utsunomiya sequence on Earth that simultaneously bewildered and angered people.

Granted, people were already disappointed by the first season and interest in the series as a whole had been petering out, but S1 at least had a honeymoon period of really strong and memorable episodes (4-6, along with most of the Adolf episodes) that people really enjoyed, even on Yea Forums. I don't really remember anything like that in S2 apart from the Russian beetlebro's death.

Please forgive me, user. I was not aware it was a requirement. I'll get right on it.
>Mecha Anime
Oh. Not for me then. I suppose any old show will do though, correct? 1980's to be specific? Well, I did enjoy the original Dragon Ball. Charming show. Akira was great. Is that okay? Now back to my simple question. What caused such a big change for that character? Wild.

>Isn't Studio 4C going to animate it?
I can't find anything that goes in that direction. If it was true, I couldn't say if it's a good thing (Mudafakaz) or an extremely bad thing (Berserk Golden age).

>There isn't any practical way to turn a manga like that into general animation yet short of some rich patron pouring a ton of dosh into it with no real expectation of financial return, but just because they want to see the art done.
True that

>I hope for decent music and character, and that's it.
I'm completly dreaming, but I hope they'll use the official manga soundtrack

The tournament in the 2017 version was shockingly terrible.

Is 'unique' another word for 'ugly'?

No. He means different by "unique" and yes, the anime version is different from most anime. He is wrong in implying different is good just because it's different.

Manga's style: Different and cute
Anime's style: Different and ugly

>Is 'unique' another word for 'ugly'?
No, but it's not another word for 'good' either like many use it. Just something at the extreme end of the standard curves. Might be godly, might be ugly shit, but different. Although some people get tired enough of the average that they start to just consider anything different to get points for difference alone since it's mentally stimulating if burned out. Hopefully most of us never end up that jaded.

I fucking wished they remake original Gundam with this animating style.

The Shaft version had the worst CGI though. And I just really didn't enjoy the story it told as much as the 2003 version's stuff, which I had watched just before.

I refuse to believe this

Jesus Christ what a travesty...
How could they get away with this?!?

I tried rewatching it recently and while the animation is ace it feels a little too ADHD for me now. I had the same issue with kill la kill.

Those are all from the same show, same episode even.

I fit that description. Still need to watch 5cm and grave of the fireflys too. Not really sure why I've delayed them for so long.

hxh

I imagine it's a story in the LN but I don't know from what volume. I liked it. I don't think it should have been the last episode though.

>basic spirit across and have some soul to it.
I agree, Trigun anime had significantly less detailed drawings, but overall anatomy and backgrounds were better, also, great animation. So imho it's one of the adaptations that look cooler than the source material.
It'd be pretty badass if it got the Jojo treatment with the "newer" art style.
>Decent music and character
This, the industrial, heavy metal music that the fan ost had'd be amazing.
Berserk Golden Age was bad in some "still" shots with the generic soldiers and whatnot.
But the normal 2d animation was fine.
The problem imho was that it wasn't gritty enough, it was all warm and beautiful, instead of a dread palette and whatnot. The Eclipse was pretty cool animated tho. But then again, my opinion, user, I respect yours.

I thought all new Berserk was full CG?
And damn was it ugly and shitty, even kindergartners using crayons to recreate the Berserk manga would have been better quality.

i think that's thhe point desu

Anime evolved what the fuck do you mean what happened, they animate what's new and popular different shows different times

I watched it back to back with Gunbuster and i felt visually assaulted.

The Zodd fight was absolutly horrendous

Anime is heading towards a very questionable direction, and I do not like the new aesthetics of current anime

Gunslinger girl was even worse, believe it or not. Thankfully S1 ends ate a pretty respectable closure point.

The Japanese stopped having sex.

I'm so disappointed I decided to watch that shit while it was airing instead of Girls' Last Tour, which had much more in common with the original series.

The only thing the new series did correctly was casting Aoi Yuuki as Kino. Everything else fucking sucked.

The tournament arc is closer to the LN, but it still missed the point of some scenes from the LN. So while the 2017 show does hue closer to the LN in terms of events/dialogue, some of the direction and character interpretation don't completely match and it makes the whole thing feel disconnected (as if the director didn't even read and interpret how the characters are meant to be feeling during certain scenes).

It should be noted that the 2003 tournament arc actually added more original content than the 2017 show. Still, these additions actually served to elevate the LN's story while conveying its intended message. The irony being that while 2017 is more "faithful", 2003's tournament arc actually managed to handle the character personalities better while also adding more purposeful storytelling to expand the arc as a whole.

The new one was mostly CGI, I thought user was talking about the movies.

Can't believe there are people who still haven't seen Shirobako.

>The only thing the new series did correctly was casting Aoi Yuuki as Kino.
The new series only took off specifically because she wanted to play as Kino in a modern adaptation of the LN. It just sucks that the rest of the crew barely gave a fuck about its tone and direction, which basically sabotaged the storytelling of the new series.

You know everything's fucked when 70% of the arcs were determined by a fan poll with little care in creating a proper flow or sense of tonal coherence between each story arc.

The 2017 version actually cut content from the LN version of the story. It goes through the fights really quickly, basically blowing past them, while in the LN they're actual fights and not just montage scenes. The 2017 anime also has Kino blocking Shizu's sword with her arms but doesn't give any explanation for it like the LN and 2003 anime does.

>namefag with shit taste

Moe vs Anti-moe

I remember viewer polls affecting the episodes included, but didn't realize that affected the structure. At least now I know why they made the incredibly stupid decision to air an episode where Kino stays in a place for more than three days before their version of A Kind Land.

Attached: 696ctmzapsaz.jpg (2048x1320, 201K)

Yeah I forgot to mention that they basically skimmed through the LN fights. So while the 2017 coliseum arc does hue closer to the LN on a surface level, it still cut a lot of content from the LN which makes the arc feel rushed and bare bones overall.

I do remember how the LN and 2003 series gave more explanation for the climactic fight with Shizu.

yeah, totally. those ratings really show it.

I can help. It felt like a cashgrab of the originial OVA, with phoned in drama and characterizations.

But I don't consider it a massive downgrade, because the OVA was only B grade.

Tranny got absolutely JUST'd.

That's pretty much why everything felt disconnected. The overall lack of smaller story arcs to cushion between the major climactic arcs really screwed up the overall tone of the new series.

WTF happened to her eyes?!

I see, so this is how people defend shit art....

Good to know.

this

Fuck you, I've almost forgotten

I feel new Kino is guilty of turning Kino into fapping material to waifufags and pedos. The original had a fanbase more focused on her adventures than her tan or how to fuck her.

Neither was good

>the original
Nah the LNs made her pretty fuckable.

Late 90s/early 2000s character designs looked like shit and anyone who defends them by claiming they have "soul" compared to modern day is retarded.

You realize faces can look really fucking weird from certain angles right user?

The 2003 anime is the only place where she wasn't fap material. Even the LN since the beginning has pretty interesting descriptions, not to mention the art on some volume covers.

Nah, I'd argue it's less to do with the new series and more to do with the LN illustrator being a known ecchi artist who would also draw her in lewd stuff and the publication giving the OK in promoting her alongside other girl protagonists in the same way, e.g. Holo and Asuna.

I don't really mind it, but I can see why some would be put off by it. Then again, at the very least it had the effect of warding off tumblrtards from trying to make a trans character out of her, so I guess that's a plus.

This is horse poop.

Attached: 18aafitkkrodc6.png (316x365, 128K)

All of these are correct.

The LN illustrations were never afraid to show that Kino is a girl in baggy travel clothes but a girl nonetheless.

Personally I like how the manga handles some of the more visually suggestive stuff wherein you can tell she's still attractive while keeping that comfy quality of the LN's older art style.

Attached: 17.jpg (1114x1600, 606K)

Is the manga worth reading? Does it try and follow the LN or does it pick and choose with the stories it adapts like the anime?

I don't get this. Of all the things wrong with nu-kino it wasn't the character art. She looked fine when she didn't turn 3D on her bike. Its pretty much everything else that sucked about it

The manga sort of picks and chooses within the same LN volume. So while it doesn't completely follow the LN's order of story arcs, it actually includes the smaller stories by adapting within the same volume. The only thing I don't like about it is that it starts with Kino's backstory as the first arc, but that's a minor nitpick on my part.

I can't vouch for how well it adapts some of the other arcs past the first volume though since I haven't read them yet.

Whats keeping you from watching the original when you managed to get yourself through the new one?

I should clarify that although the chosen arcs don't exactly follow the LN's proper order, the manga is still a lot better at it than the new anime by actually adapting the other smaller arcs within the same volume. So it's already better in terms of tonal coherency by default.

Also it was nice to read in the afterword about how happy the LN author was in finally seeing Kino adapted in a manga format.

Attached: 22.jpg (1113x1600, 754K)

Not great but still way better, only speaks on the lack of quality for the new one

I mean the LN always had pretty appealing artwork from what I know, but the new adaptation literally came with a "undress kino" minigame on their website so

There's apparently 2 manga adaptations. Have you read both? The author is the same but they're done by different artists. The one whose author is Gou apparently just adapts random stories while the other one is more ordered so I guess the other one is the one you've read.

I was talking about the movies. In my opinion, 2D scenes wasn't balancing at all the 3D bullshit, especially some stuff like the Doldrey assault and the Zodd fight. And like you said, it was a bit too much colorful.

I agree.

>talking bike
Dropped.

Yeah, you were dropped on your head when you were born.

what is this series called again?

Yeah the one I'm referring to is drawn by Shiomiya. I'm aware that there was another manga alongside the one by Shiomiya though I haven't read the one with Gou as the artist, so I should probably check it out as well.

thanks for reminding me I haven't even watch entire season 2

Attached: 1437864905635.jpg (1024x576, 91K)

Besides the character designs, is the adaptation bad? I was considering watching the anime then reading the manga

The manga itself is pretty mediocre. Naturally the anime feels the same. The insert/theme song is nice though and the art style is an improvement.

Also Aizawa is best girl

I don't hate it (it's great) but it's definitely an odd choice for the final episode of the series when it could have easily been placed somewhere in between.

I'd recommend doing that. It's a mediocre anime, but it's a fun one. The manga is defiantly better, so if you read it first it'll just ruin your experience.

Still no excuse for

>Grey skinned noahs are now africans.
This one pissed me off the most.

Fuck off, less moe is always better.

The director wanted Aku no Hana to be a TV drama, not an anime. That's why it looks the way it did

Which manga is this? If I'm not mistaken, two of them came out around the same time of the 2017 series.

Not him, but it's my favourite romcom too. Even if the author didn't learn anatomy by the end of it, I felt it was a great blend of humor and drama (without feeling too forced), and some very funny running gag.

>Episode is 1:1 with the manga
People say this a lot even when it isn't true. And even then, even if your adaptation is a panel by panel adaptation that doesn't make it good. Making a good adaptation isn't as easy as just having all the content in the right order.

Thus saying old Disney looks bad is hypocritical and dumb.

I actually like gunslinger girl 2 more than 1. It had a better plot and it stuck closer to the manga.

>flat tones
fuck off with that literal cancer

>They are completely related though.
not him, no they're not

>Disney is the main reason you have cutsey moeshit nowadays.
No they're fucking not you Yea Forumsnigger.

>Thus saying old Disney looks bad is hypocritical and dumb.
No you garbage eating nigger. They're very different.

>Name one anime that looks anywhere near as good as Pinocchio, Bambi or Fantasia.
99.9999% of anime do. Fairy tail looks vastly better than that cancer. Now go back to your own board Yea Forumsturd.

Don't you dare talk shit about my cute little Kobato-chan, I'll kill you while you sleep.

Disney's 'style', especially at the time Tezuka copied him, was just a slightly refined form of what was considered the standard for all animation. It was hardly unique to Disney, he was just the most talented at the time.

pedophiles trying to make every character look as believably young as possible

honestly it wasn't that bad, it definitely could have been worse, the sheep at the end pretty much killed it for me though

see, no style, no detail, no shading. it's looks so fucking shit. attached image looks a way better than anything western subhumans have ever done. Stop pretending anime looks anything like that dogshit.

I'll always be bummed by this. I had low expectations and was still let down. Even worse was all the faggots claiming it was great. No it fucking wasn't.

Yeah and without China inventing gunpowder western animation as you know it would not exist either. Checkmate.

>Tezuka literally ripped off Disney's style and he never hid that fact.
not him, who gives a fuck? Tezuka contributed to the development of anime's style but Tezuka's own style is not the anime style. The new Dororo is done in a 2010s variation of the anime style and it looks way better than the shitty old tezuka styled comics. Anime doesn't look like tezuka shit or disgusting disney cancer with it's flat tones.

Fuck Disney and fuck Yea Forumsnggers. Anime tend to take inspirations from each other and not outside shit which is partly what makes it so good. If Disney never existed it probably would've been even better

>ripped off Disney
uh oh

to THIS????

Since there are a few kinofriends in this thread, does anyone know if the recent English edition of volume 1 is any good? I've been meaning to read it and it being released physically means that I'm much more willing to give it a shot, the only thing I'm not super down for is the fact that she's flaunting her ass on the cover

Attached: 9781947194359.jpg (294x400, 24K)

I own it. The translations are good, far as I can tell (same people behind the Monogatari LN official releases). Also includes an afterword with Sigsawa's comment about the manga's debut.

Also forgot but nah, it's not like she's sexualized at every moment or anything like that. The cover is a bit deceiving in that regard.

kys

:clang:

Fair enough. I'm taller and slimmer tho.

I watched the first episode of the original. Couldn't force myself to watch the rest.

Hasn't that guy heard about lube??

I liked both.

This face upsets me.

Not the same character. Actually Gunbuster and Diebuster are happening at the same time. The end of both series are connected.

Redline is objectively good and if (you) think otherwise you have some serious mental problems.

>Madhouse
Great strawman, next time use the correct image.

Nah, it is genuinely great and it doesn't end in open ending and actually closes a lot questions.

Shit taste but i agree that 70s girls look great.

>Western animation looks like shit, they've got no style
What do you mean by that?
And don't be such a weeaboo even in here. There are tons of great western animations mostly pre-2000.

Attached: 1523072574489.jpg (476x483, 47K)

So you are one of those faggots that think any anime that has any kinda western element is not real anime because anime must be ultra japanese.

This better be bait. Even old Yea Forums didn't hate old disney movies.

I absolutely cant. I hated the new Kino so much. Well...not HATE, I just...don't like what they did to her. Even Aoi Yuukis voice couldnt save my opinion of it..

>Anime tend to take inspirations from each other and not outside shit which is partly what makes it so good
But best anime directors take inspirations outside of anime and that is why a lot pre-2000 still looks great because it wasn't just people copying from other anime.

Fuck off and kill yourself westaboo.

I want to go back

How? It was generic as fuck.

Not just the animation quality, but the writing was all over the place and the rock n' roll tower arc was just ridiculous.

No you fuck off, Yea Forums has always liked both kinda anime.

The real QUALITY here is your screencapping skills.

Kill yourself.

I wouldn't call a single Yea Forumsnigger "everyone".

>what is hyperbole

>WHY DO PEOPLE ON Yea Forums LIKE WESTERN ANIMATION
This place never has been weeaboo place.

Yes it is and you can keep seething, filthy Yea Forumsnigger.

At least I have 2 functioning eyes and all my teeth still

to lazy to redo, i just used the shareX functions
