The first episode was intriguing, but this one took a nosedive. Weird comedy and shitty fighting with undeveloped characters. They all also seem like Mary Sues, with their only weakness being that they are "too kind". There is a lot of potential, but it's not gonna get realized if it continues like that.

I found it very endearing how Tanjirou was thinking how Nezuko had grow up and how she used to be so tiny a while ago. His VA did a good job in this scene.

Potatoes won't start showing up until later chapters. Right now, where only at the beginning of the anime, it has the set the tone and stuff by being all dark and grim. I finally caught up and I got some questions/statements to make about this series. First thing is, this author has no problem killing off their characters huh? If this was any other Shonen, Rengoku and Shinobu would have still been alive or at the very least wouldn't have died when they did. I fully expected them to be like the Captains of Bleach or something where they stay around forever pretty much but nope. I fear for the other pillars to be honest.

That's what I love about croc. She really knows how to set the stakes. It's what in my opinion puts Kimetsu above the rest. Its comfy but its pretty much a battle shonen. Its a good read and has some great characters. There is only 1 small arc where is goes full comfy but after that we get battle after battle which is good in its own right.

I think zenitsu was pissed off about sound pillar looking hot at some point too

Well this series is notable for having lightning fast pacing. The next episode will cover a 2 year training arc and we'll probably be into the final selection in episode 4.

If it ends up being around 24 episodes. I can easily see them getting up to the pillars meeting, even all the way up the train fight/upper moon meeting since they keep referencing it also.

You gotta realize most adaptations start slow. The earlier chapters are generally much more dense because they're laying the groundwork for the series. After the first like 3-4 chapters the pace will normally pick up some speed in an adaptation.

The Pillar Meeting happened in Chapter 45, my fear of 1 Chapter = 1 Episode is exactly because the meeting can't happen if that rule persists in a 26 Episode adaptation, so it has to speed up at some point.

The first chapter which was covered in 1 episode was nearly 60 pages, which is 2.5 standard chapters. There is more than enough episodes to cover all the way to the pillar meeting.

We already know that by episode 5 they will adapt all up until chapter 9

I've liked all the arcs to some extent, and starting with the Spider Family arc it's just remained consistently good in my opinion. Although Red Light District really does stand out compared to the rest. I also have a soft spot for the Recovery Training arc because of how comfy and humorous it was and because we got to meet the pillars.

My favorite parts are when they are relaxing together without any fighting. But every arc has great moments, so it's hard to say.

These Yea Forumsnons combined equal my opinion.

To be fair, the Red Light District is a high bar to pass, and pretty much every arc from Spider mountain onwards has been so good that it's difficult to stand out.

It was fun, no arguing. I really liked everything about Hantengu fight, Mitsuri and young Kotetsu. But it really lacked some Inosuke and Zenitsu presence, and Tokitou isn't a very fascinating character.

It's not a bad arc, it just gets overshadowed by the others. Mist's fight was pretty good though

The manga has really intense battles with high stakes and real consequences, but the general atmosphere is one of hope and optimism, in spite of the grim reality.
I laugh at edgfags who are disappointed that Kimetsu is not the edgy revenge story they wanted.

KnY is edgy, but in a good sense. When it isn't taking a breather with dorky comedy, the story is dark and gritty with prostitues and poor people dying left and right, and violence is bloody and gruesome first, and cool looking second.
