Thats a translation error. The show uses a gender neutral "that kid" (but more often used for little girls) and CR translates it as her or him at different times in the anime. It would have probably been fine in any other show but its gonna get super confusing for next episode.

He/she's suspecting Reo has been running that account alone and Mabu was already dead, also in that scene of the anime apparently it's only Reo who is eating (onigiri + toothpick).

CR subs translated "ano ko" as "her" instead of the more literal and neutral "that person". The little girl (boy) at the end of the episode is his little brother, so he's actually in love with a little boy (brother).

Isn't the sibling confirmed to be a girl? It could be an error either way since we don't know for sure who he's talking about, even if we can guess.

IIRC the word Crunchyroll translated to mean "her" has two difference meanings: girl and, the more gender neutral, "kid." Most likely, Kazuki was referring to the latter. The Asenshi translation group did their own sub for the episode that fixes this issue by using more gender neutral terms, like "that person," which seems to be more accurate (though admittedly awkward to read).

We also know that the kid is seemingly obsessed with Sara, as seen with all the Sara merchandise around his room. Some have speculated that this is meant to be an allegory / criticism for otaku who worship idols.
