This show completely destroyed my suspension of disbelief. What I wonder about is that everyone conspired with the king despite knowing that he has no actual power as Melromark is a matriarchie. Why did all those stupid guard leaders and nobles follow him? They basically all commited high treason against the queen without ever planing of striping her of her power, which means all of them basically awaited execution once she returns. Everyone also knows that bitch was stripped of her rights of inheritance, still they all follower her for whatever reason. No one, not even her father bats an eye when she attempts to kill her own sister. The entire upper echelon of Melromarks society would have been either executed or stripped of power to reunify all under the queen under non LN/anime/manga logic. The soldiers aswell following those orders should know that this is not what they are supposed to do. All of these people know that the summoning of all heroes under them alone is reason for their entire world to go to war against them and amplifying the issue is all the stupid shit the do to the shield hero who is basically the most important hero in nearly any other nation in their world.
Am I supposed to believe the upper echelon of Melromark and its soldiers are really this stupid or just blatantly suicidal?

This show/manga is the very definition of rage porn. Everything that happens is meant to get you good and pissed off, so when the story does a complete 180, and the S.hero ends up becoming the favorite hero to the big woman in charge, you the reader get to enjoy that catharsis of seeing the characters you despise get what’s coming to them.
