90's is cuter.

10s is cuter

Who do I believe?!

'10 needs to be lumpier.

I prefer 70s character designs

I prefer anime girls with noses.

I'm from the future
2030's is cuter

'90's but with a better mouth.
This is the real answer though despite the slight impracticality due to cost

I think 90's/early 00's style is a big reason I didn't get into anime when I was younger. I'm still just not a fan. But on the other hand I hate stuff that sticks to the modern style strictly. A-1 pictures pretty much makes the "standard" 10's look but I find that despite some good character designs the actual way they're drawn is so sterile

I can confirm

Depends on the setting and overall tone of the story, but 10s for cute girls and 90s for action, backgrounds, and MCs

'10. K-on perfected the anime girl artstyle.

Well, in this specific picture, I like both of them about equally. In general, I think modern anime looks a lot better.

The '10 one doesn't look like K-On though.

'10s is perfect, but '90s isn't bad either.

When I watched Gridman for the first time, I felt the beginning of a new era.
I can't explain well, but Rikka's design would be different from the 10s style.
A new standard is beginning. I know I'm the only one feeling like this tho.
btw, 02 was legit the finest design with 10s style aside from the story of Franxx.

>doesn't know how to draw the thing or what they are talking about (90s anime)
>makes a shit chart anyway

Every fucking time.

Late 80's up to late 90's is god tier anime. No computer bullshit, drawings had more details, felt more ''real''. Before it they were too cartoony, after it they were to plastic, atificial and devoided of any life..

>K on
>The current day anime with the most oldschool habits on there
>Oldschool shape language
>oldschool caricaturization
>oldschool directing
>oldschool character designs, even with that exxagurated cheek and everything

Retard spotted.

Early 2000s.

Characters change based on artist and personality type. Some characters would look good in the so called "90s" style and others would look good in the more modern style. A good artist would take elements of both (and other outside sources).
