This episode was seriously great.

Makes me super curious what the next season will be like. I'm still hoping for Kai, Miwa and Ibuki to be the stars but if I had to make a realistic guess it's going to be saving Kourin and/or the other walkers. with a sub-plot that makes Kai a antagonist.

What's so good about Vanguard and why should I play this over Pokémon, YGO, Bakugan, Weiss Schwarz, Wixoss or Chaos?

It helps she is getting quite literally carried by her PSYqualia\whatever her connection to the card is, so the usual trope of "MC starts knowing nothing but is able to defeat World-Class opponents on first try because." doesn't apply
(I watched the fisrt episode of Shin Buddyfight and bloody hell if it was guilty of this. Totally defeated my interest, Ranma was ten times more interesting)

It's simple and straightforward
You usually don't know for sure you lost until the last card. Anime-like reversal do actually happen.

The abilities of Millionair and Millionair Stellar are interesting too.

Adding on to what the other user said, the mechanics feel more "in your face" in that a lot of it and the accompanying factors are clear as day and honest.
While definitely simpler than some of the games you listed, there's still room for cool combos and plays that can change how things go.
Smooth might be the best way to describe Vanguard

Vanguard is quite affordable and very easy to understand and get into compared to other card games. It also has a relatively healthy meta where you can top events with many kinds of decks and most of them cheap at that as well. While it lacks player interaction most card games have, it makes up for in testing the player's ability to play around their opponent and anticipate their moves. There's a lot of psychological aspects to Vanguard. Also unlike other card games where you could get your turn easily disrupted by the opponent's counter, you can safely play your turn the way as best as you can, but you have to be mindful of the RNG nature of the game where a single trigger can mess up your strategy. Therefore, you have to constantly learn to adapt and play to different situations or you will get punished. The RNG aspect also makes things very exciting and you'll often find your heart racing when you flip the top card of your deck and find it's a miracle heal trigger. The game is really not over until it's over.

also Luck plays a bigger part than in most other games, but even that part is structured, so beside bad hands(which happen in every cardgame anyway) it's uncommon to feel "cheated".

Otherwise, Last Damage Heals are an actual thing, as are Double Crits on One To Pass defenses.

I didn't comment on this last week, but I found it kinda creative Aichi loses zombie status by being deleted. It kind of makes sense logically that if you lose your bond with Vanguard you begin to lose your desire to play and partake in the game. So the aspect of being a zombie that compels you to keep playing is overridden. Or at least that's what I think the writers were going for. I guess it's better than MAGIC MIRROR and "hey bro, here's a speshul card that helps you unlock everything"
