It's not. The core of it is zoomer mentality. It's the inability to love or appreciate anything sincerely. It's always gotta be ironic and half-hearted. It's everywhere, it's just that here there are still vestiges of Yea Forums elitism that prevented the more overt manifestations of this attitude (frogposting and the shitty memes) from becoming popular.
