I avoid having clothing touch the floor with a small trick. In one of the many jacket pockets, I keep a few binder clips. I use those to keep the pants from touching the dirty floor. Just scrunch up a section of the pants leg and apply binder clip to it.
I also zip up the jacket and tuck my shirt inside the jacket. Because the jacket is zipped, it is tight enough to prevent the back of the shirt from drooping down and getting dirty.

Me too. I have trouble both because I like to squat on the seat and because I'm paranoid about disease. As a result I've only done it twice in public in years, maybe almost a decade now. Once was at the gym because I went to hard with GOMAD. The other time was at a restaurant while waiting for seats. I honestly would have went home to do it and come back if, at the time, my house wasn't across the city.
