Man, this mangaka is really good with character dynamic. A lot of stuff you read, MC is the center of the universe, no one will speak to anybody except the MC is what it feel like most of the time. And if there is an exception, say a side character, the side character will only interact with their designated target and nobody else in the group.

CM is quite refreshing. The whole mission is going impossible mode, MC is taking a nap, meanwhile Power is acting crazy according to Himeno, while the other two rookies are losing it. And then the bargain situation comes up, we get flashbacks and so on. I would buy a volume just to support this. Reminds me of Dorohedoro.

I think it's fucking asinine to try to imagine a long term path for the series when it's still hardly elaborated on its initial premise. There's a gun devil, they want to find it, to do so they have to gather the pieces, so we get a bunch of episodic stories about them going around killing devils. This is basic, but for now, it is fucking fine. I'm not going to start wishcasting where the story should be going 4 years down the line because I'm fine with enjoying what it's doing right fucking now, we've had all of 3 arcs, essentially.

For reference, at this point in time in seven deadly sins, we'd just had king's introduction chapter. None of the elements that eventually dragged the series down had been introduced. The story still was just about gathering its cast together. There was a clear, defined goal, and obvious smaller steps to be taken toward that goal. If you came in at that point going "HEY I HOPE HE DOESN'T INTRODUCE POWERLEVELS" you'd sound like a fucking psycho.

After investigating the devils for a while the protagonist could end up going to their world, similarly to Dorohedoro when they went to the magic user world. It can lead to a lot of worldbuilding and new characters to keep the story fresh.

I for one am enjoying the minimal use of the chainsaw form. it makes it feel way more special when it's finally out otherwise you run into the same problems of bankai and super sayian where it's just meaningless.

I'm thinking it'll be a slow but powerful build up, each advancement having actual force behind it, so it feels like he's actually growing instead of just getting god powers out the gate.

If the gun devil is capable of city-scale destruction, is the mortality devil a planet buster?

I'm not so sure they'll go with that just yet; that feels like a late game power up not a stage 1 type of thing.

It depends on current events influence. Eventhough there are worse things to fear than a gun, say a nuke, you don't go about your day thinking "oh I hope don't get nuke this week!" It's just something that don't happen too often.
However, if one day, say Kim Jung Un decides to fucks around with his nukes, blasting it everywhere for shits and giggles, and then it gets reported everywhere in the media, then sure nuke devil would be stronger than gun devil that day.

So yeah, Mortality devil would be just as strong as Endless Devil. People do fear them, but it's something alot of people can just shrug off.

Or if the Earth were to suddenly approach doomsday, Death Devil would destroy the planet before anything does.

Don't they have alot of it, I can see his power boost disappear just right after the fight.

yeah but it didn't precisely increase public fear of the gun devil itself but of devils in general which is why they're much stronger than they used to be, I'm sure it's still a powerhouse but not as much of a city buster as it used to be, and like someone mentioned maybe the reason Pochi's wounds looked so small is because he shrunk because of the massive damage taken and the bullet holes shrank with it.

It's less strong but it's not that big of a gap. Alot of people still fear the Gun Devil himself, that alone should maintain his strength.
