Fate/Zero was fantastic on its own. It did not need a sequel, much less a bizarre and shitty sequel like Fate/ Unlimited Blade Works. They replaced all the characters except for Saber, Kirei and Gil, and they're almost always inferior to the original. They replaced Kiritsugu with that moronic ginger, Tokiomi with that twin-tailed slut, Diarmuid with sonic, Irisviel with a loli and Giles with some lovesick hag. The story is full of nonsensical teenage bullshit instead of the mature, sophisticated tale we got from Urobuchi. The homo-erotic tension we had with Gil and Kirei is replaced with some retarded NTR bullshit with Gil and incomprehensible edgy crap from Kirei. Honestly it's such a massive disappointment. I dropped it after "You're correct but you're not right".

some of the 25th anniversary OVAs make references to retcon characters, there was a sequel to kens rage covering the retcon shit, and souten no kens lore also mostly is based on the retconning of hokuto history from the post raoh stuff

They felt tedious, but I think it might just be that all there really was to Durarara that made it fun was revealing the characters for the first time itself
