No they didn't do it enough. It wasn't just cutting entire subplots, there were various places they could have condensed it further as mentioned to have a better result in the end. And as Nishikiori himself mentioned, he begged to put back certain scenes in just because he wanted to have it in over a better product.

Infact, until we figure out which scenes are which its impossible to say it would've been a "better" product or not. The bigger issue here lies with the production giving him such little episodes on top of not even having the staff in line when they made the goddamn announcement.

Accelerator's power increases the more knowledge he gains. He's stepped outside of aeons and beyond keter, and it's not like that knowledge in his head is gonna just magically disappear after Will leaves. It's more likely with WIll helping him he steps into the realm of Level 6, but without her he's likely 5.5 or closer. Being above Aeons doesn't make you an ordinary Level 5.

If anything, I could see Accelerator tossing out the idea of the ranks being utility to Aleister's plan (or just not noticing the ranks are based on utility) and promoting Gunha.

It's accelerator's powers but author can't outright make him literal god without giving him some gimp to make him fit into the story/plot.

Esper powers are unique to him, the personal reality is his alone, and the know how on how to use/control the power is too. It's only the calculations that are done outside. Much easier to replace the calculators than it is the actual machine.

The reason why I latched onto his character was because I detected massive potential, but people wouldn't give him the time of day as the irony of the meme becoming the norm had already happened by 2016-17. It took a bit, but people once again started looking at him as a serious plot point more and more, at the expense of people treating him as a joke more and more.
