Garou is alright but I love Suiryu a whole lot. His fighting style is intense and beautiful, his personality seems unremarkable but his beaming confidence is somehow endearing, his fight with Saitama was fun, against the monsters he held his ground against overwhelming odds without wavering until he was so hopeless and crushed you can't even blame him for breaking.

I'll never forget the page where he finished off Choze with that amazing knee strike, or getting choked up at his begging the heroes to rise one more time, or rising out of my chair a bit hands on my head with the relief washing over me when I reached this page, legitimately not knowing if this character I desperately wanted to see survive and grow, maybe even join the hero association where he could easily place in mid S-class, since the turning point in his life came at witnessing the awesome valor of two A-class heroes, he might even improve relations between the the two classes.

The sooner he gets done fingerbanging nurses in the hospital the better, I really want him to make a comeback. Learning WSRS under Bang and being a sparring partner for reformed Garou as his junior perhaps? His style seems to lack in defensive options in favor of sheer damage, something he could kind of compensate for by having a huge amount of durability but could clearly be improved upon further, and it would make sense for him to gravitate towards Bang as one of the few hand to hand martial artists in the S class.

He's pretty fuckin strong, able to do this and take out a high demon (roughly sea king) level monster in Choze, and grab and throw a blast comparable to vaccine man's who is a dragon threat (Not saying he would stand a chance against Vaccine man of course), I'd say he is comfortably in S class, maybe not exactly in the middle but not at the bottom either.

You also have to factor in how much stronger he will become, he is this strong now as a lackadaisical kind of man, but after that he will become much stronger.

Tatsumaki is just very strong while fubuki isn't as strong so she can't do anything like that. Psykos seems to be able to do it somewhat with that cube of monsters but a much smaller scale. Also not a lot of espers show up in OPM except those three and the kid from that a class group.

Your ability to affect a target directly with esper power seems to be based on the esper's mental strength vs the target's overall physical power, which is why Tats couldn't do shit to Saitama directly. It seems like when you dramatically overpower your foe like Tats does with almost everyone you can do shit like this, otherwise you need to find other ways to attack them.

It seems Fubuki uses her tornado to try to shred people or harm them but usually we haven't seen it work that well. Psykos is a little stronger but not that much to tats. The alien is actually more skilled than Tatsumaki as he can remove friction from objects that he can throw at sub light speeds.

It's described as a technique, one Tatsumaki developed very early and naturally because she's gifted like that. Other espers don't have it.

There are only 4 notable espers in the series, of which, 3 do use their telekinesis directly on a target in varying ways. The only outlier is the alien esper who chose to throw rubble but as ONE stated he has a specialty in doing that so projectiles exceeding light speed are more beneficial than just twisting limbs.

Tatsumaki's specialty is using telekinesis directly on a target, Fubuki also does this but it's weaker, and between gravity pressure and cubing monsters Psykos also uses telekinesis directly on a target.

Every scene of the webcomic is better in the manga, it is just that the manga has other scenes too.

Murata's version is adding content and fleshing scenes out which isn't bad per se but does feel like it bloats the source which potentially makes it lose its appeal.

I feel like if the Tournament arc was cut in half, I'd pretty much be ok with it. It's weird that it wasn't until the competition was over that Monsters invaded. We didn't need to tread back to pre-Sea King gags regarding Saitama's invincibility and another inclusion of cocky powerful adversary get's his ego completely destroyed by the protagonist.

Orochi might be used to weaken Tatsumaki, the opening was hyping him to be strong.

He is pretty heroic when it cones to it. It's just he's passive as fuck and antisocial to a ridiculous degree, so his powers are mostly wasted since he has to happen to be near where he can actually use them. Yet when he does happen to be in the right place, he does the right thing, intelligently too, with some resignation at times, but never outright ignoring stuff.
He made a single proactive decision in his life, and that was his training. Everything else he does kinda on impulse. That's the main reason he's not an ideal hero.
Really, if you summarise hero as a trifecta of power-heroism-life skills, then whereas HA overall lacks the first two and goes bonkers on the third part (bureacracy), he's great at the first two and complete shit at the third.

There are several fights in webcomic MA that play out like this. Hell almost every fight Saitama has plays out like this. A cocky fighter who gets stomped in combat because he/she underestimates how powerful his/her opponent is is a scenario that exists in several battle manga. It isn't exactly parodical or subversive, and Saitama's goofy appearance and dialogue doesn't really that. You people really exaggerate the parody, satire (or whatever the fuck you call it) aspect of this series.

You're missing the point. When I say "played straight", I don't just mean "not comedic". I mean that the point of the scene was two characters fighting to see who was stronger. That has NEVER been a major thing in OPM. Like look at Sea King, you had some comedic fights to set him up as a threat, then you the Genos fight which was about the danger to the crowd, the Rider "fight", then finally Saitama. None of it was "Here's two cool dudes fighting, WHO'S STRONGER?!".

It's not about the satire or parody, it's about using fights as a storytelling device, not just brainless action.

If anything Saitama and King are more comparable because they don't have any stated relationships with people until they met each other. And I wouldn't call either of them autistic just because one guy worked out daily and kept doing his best to save the world. I would call someone autistic though if they tried to convince themselves that they were something they weren't and started screeching when their worldview was questioned.

In that instance Garou felt upset and betrayed - cornered by his own master, a person he cares about, and he's roaring there desperately as he trives to survive.
