Strangely enough, the thugs in the remake just look like less threatening versions of the originals. The anime completely changes their designs for some reason.

I always thought that would be a good decision to make in the anime, because in the game it doesn't make sense for the narrative if he loses his memory every time you reload.

Well Feel are one of the few studios who are prepared to animate sex in non-porn anime (Yosuga no Sora & Island) and if you watched the first episode, you would know concept sex exists in-universe, which is already a big step.

I mean, it's a 50+ hour VN. It can be done, but a lot of parts are going to be cut. The first episode alone breezes though like 2 hours worth of content in 20 minutes. Still, Steins;Gate proved you can still have a pretty good anime even with a lot of content cut.

By contrast, something like Ever 17 is outright impossible to adapt, despite also being a classic VN.
