emilia is literally the blandest waifubait that has ever existed.

Rem and Emilia are both important to Subaru's motivations and character development. Sure, lots of people just watch it for waifus but I think it has plenty more than just that going for it.

One anime I didn't expect to see on so many lists is Penquindrum. Is it really that good?

Kurisu and Mayuri are both important to Okabe's motivations and character development. Sure, some people just watch it for waifus but I think it has plenty more than just that going for it.Also Kurisu is not the whole show. Also Kurisu has a lot more to her that you'll see if you watch at 1x speed.

What bothers me is that the show is worshiped as one of the best stories in anime despite the """""science""""" of the show and the whole way time travel is handled making no fucking sense. I'm usually really forgiving of shit like that, but logic breaking nonsensical shit like sending himself a video from a future that never happened or events being inexplicably predetermined sends me into an autistic rage every single time.
