Actually they changed stuff in progress. They started out using 'lustrous' whenever the gems were refered to collectively but that got dropped, also the everypony shit wasn't there at the beginning and a couple of other quirks.
Karen still uses 'ore' for herself and Aechmea mostly calls her 'ano ko', doesn't he?
