I think the problem is that retards on Yea Forums want animation instead of wanting a good story. An anime with shit animation but good story can carry an anime, but an anime with good animation but shit animation can not carry anything. People need to develop their other senses that is not their eyes. They need to understand depth beneath all the fancy moving pictures. Is sad.

It was pretty mediocre desu. They managed to keep all characters on-model for the entirety of episode 1 and that's the only redeeming quality. We'll probably see a lot of QUALITY in the next episodes.
The only fight lacked dynamic angles and most of the actions occurred off-screen. The rest of the episode relied too heavily on reusing frames, see King moving his arm in the last scene or boobs girl having like 15 different frames only.
I gotta admit, the new colors look good in movement.

It's bad in that kyoani has done better in their SoL shows but it's not HORRIBLE
The anti-hype was that season 1 was god-tier animation which lured a lot of people in, even those who don't like the premise of the show. Season 2 was guaranteed to be lower quality animation so it's simply disappointing that we won't get more of what season 1 offered.
