Episode 98: 一線を超えたAI – Issen o Koeta Ēai (An AI That Has Crossed the Line) Lightning uses Jin as a hostage to rattle Revolver. However, Bowman, who is very disappointed in Lightning’s actions, decides to step in. Now that his hostage-taking stratagem has failed, Lightning reveals a shocking truth about Dr. Kogami to Revolver, who is already heavily wounded. And then, their fierce Duel finally reaches its conclusion…!!
Nothing of his could have happened if Lightning wasn't such an asshole and tried to kill all ignis so he is no longer the retarded one.
Kevin Morgan
Her no longer being blue angel doesn't really have anything to do with Lightning. Her current absence does but they always push Yusaku to the forefront anyway. Wonder if they'll change how the final season proceeds.
Austin Hernandez
>new villain makes the old one commit suicide after implanting him with fake memories of his adopted son not dying alrighty then
this reminds me, what was up with ed summoning devil guy/doom lord outside and assaulting criminals with it? is it supposed to be some kind of abstraction or am i missing something?
Noah Nguyen
They kind of wasted time for a hundred episodes with no clear plan so they just went dark. Doesn't ever really feel the same from then on.
i'm still not sure how to feel about that personally. i'm glad that they changed the setting and that there's new elements involved like that monsters are now real and stuff like that, but i'm a little worried about how they'll keep raising the stakes from now on
>Bastion the most brilliant student with the highest score becomes a dropout after running around the campus naked. Such a great end to an important character
Ethan Walker
I don't think there was any stake involved there. He was destined to leave in that way since the beginning.
Tournament will ruin the show. It'd feel forced AF since Yusaku doesn't care about those shits at all. >Coats >Child I bet Mieru grow a pair of F cups by the time she's 16
Nah, no way Lightning's getting absorbed without even losing. That would make Bohman a hypocrite because he used to be a jobber until recently.
William James
Lightning was going to join anyway though.
Kevin Thompson
>he used to be a jobber He was never a jobber. A jobber is an established threat who loses to somebody to show the audience how powerful the new guy is. Bohman's only lost to Playmaker, who the audience already knows is very powerful.
I hardly know what I'm looking at here. All I know is that's a wrestling term that shouldn't be used for anime.
Isaac Robinson
They should've planned it better and have Bohman duel someone other than Playmaker for 3/4 of the season. Not sure what Blood Shepherd getting a month for himself accomplished, felt like a filler arc.
Mason Young
He's sweating
Kayden King
They don't actually have enough plot and character arcs to fill the whole series. That's why Soulburner got so many duels that ended up sort of not mattering to his character.
Xavier Bennett
Glad somebody gets it Vrains keeps biting off way more than it can chew with the plots it wants to tell and things end up either filler or a disappointment
Colton Butler
Maybe they had intended to stick with the pace they had at the start of the series. If they hadn't replaced the old Link Summoning animation, I bet we'd just be wrapping up the Tower of Hanoi about now.
>Glad somebody gets it Well it's not that hard >and things end up either filler or a disappointment That's just yugioh in general though, not just this series.
Luke Price
Dj roboppy here. I just finished my college graduation project, sorry for not having connected but I time wouldn't even let me check my inbox to see how many people had actually sent in their recordings let alone make the viseo. Thing is, now that I have time I cheched and only 4 people ended up sending it, 1 on the threads and 3 thru mail. Should I even make the song with this few recordings? I wish the vrains sings user had asked for it when the ed just aired I bet there would have been at least twice the number of people.
I'd feel bad for the people who sent the recordings. I didn't expect so few of us would participate. I guess it is on debut weeks or never. I've heard the other vra/a/ins sings and they had at least twice the people, BOY's wouldn't sound much good with only 4 voices. Though maybe the original singer voice would make up for it.
Isaiah Flores
Do what you want, but yeah vrains threads aren't alive enough for something that far gone.
Luis Ward
Personally, the thing that bothers me about that term is when anytime a character loses just one duel or two, people cry JOBBER on them
Justin Harris
>Aren´t alive enough It's not like we hadn´t had good vrains sings so far. The thing was that singing a song that is months old wouldn´t attract much people, that's only logical. IMO we should start a poll where we ask if there's interest on singing "Are You Ready?" before starting asking for recordings. I sent my recording for Boy and would totally do the same for Are You Ready.
am I not wrong? >lost to firewall >lost to windy >lost to lightning in fact OG borreload has not won a single duel
Colton Nelson
He spent last season getting raped all night long by an amazon, of course he'd have gotten some gains from that experience. There's a reason he shacked up with her in the third season. Its like MGQ, he was raped til he liked it only in this scenario she didn't enslave him then toss him aside like in succubus prison
Kayden Rivera
I'd argue that late Season 2 was when everything became really fucking dark. Like, around the point where DD burns his opponent alive, and Edo has to kill his dad just to get the card back. That was pretty fucked up. Even before that we had some fucked up stuff like Darkness and Hell Kaiser. But yeah, late-season 2 started all of this dark, gloomy shit where slapstick comic relief and goofiness just up and vanished, and it became a dark ass series. So much so that Judai's entire character was completely rewritten and became more like an Atem expy than anything else.
The most fucked up moment imo was GX 169, where O'Brien almost had to watch his mom get burned alive again due to some traumatic experience when he was a kid. He had to choose either his mom or his dad to save from a car fire; he didn't have the time or strength to save both. O'Brien chose his dad solely for the increased chance of survival and sacrificed his mom. Of course his mom *was* saved, but O'Brien felt immense guilt over his decision. That's why, when he was confronted with a similar situation in S3 (Jim dying in front of him), O'Brien tucked tail and ran. O'Brien for most of S3 was just following orders or doing what he needed to survive. But when he was alone, and nobody is there to tell him what to do or to back him up, he is a coward. GX had good character development that many overlooked because of the negative reputation of the comic relief first half.
Easton Ross
The same is true of holly angel, great ogre, king t rex and probably others. It seems pretty normal.
Julian Garcia
inb4 it's a draw.
Luis Bennett
either that or Revolver wins
Camden Morgan
>So much so that Judai's entire character was completely rewritten and became more like an Atem expy than anything else. Judai was nothing like Atem, if anything he was like Yugi, who alot of times had a bit of an angst moment about just wanting to play card games and getting wrapped up in all this save the world bullshit, at least he did in the dub. I always thought that's the reason he took an interest in Jaden, the guy was just like him back then innocent and wanting to sling some cards, then over the next three years of his life he had to do and see some really fucked up shit and lost his luster and that's why he appeared before him again to take him back to when he was in his prime and give him that duel to restore his smile.
Yuya was kinda the same way then the writters went "fuck it" so he's got that "What the fuck man, I just wanted to play cards and ride my dragon with my girlfriend" but none of the duel to restore his smile which is what people fully expected the final duel to be with Yuzu or Yusho being his opponent
Kevin Price
nah those haven't been shilled as much
Ryder Thompson
The elephant did nothing wrong
Nathaniel Cox
Holly Angel's been in five duels, unless you only want to count cover cards.
kogami tested on himself before kidnapping the kids
Joseph Hughes
>at the end of this turn revolver will literally have nothing but a naked xcharge with 0 cards in his hand haha holy shit I wonder how yoshida will asspull him out of this one
Chase Wilson
Then why not just pay some adults instead?
Adam Davis
because kogami genes make you retarded, look how dumb revolver is, also hanoishits are absolute brainlets
so we have a gun, a sword gun (not a bayonet apparently since that is apparently something different), a gun with a shield, a gun with a white paintjob, and a double barrel railgun with a black paintjob?
Angel Cook
pussyvulva
Oliver Hall
>even the previews are pretty much telling everyone nuvulva is literally a mistake based, bring back evilvolver
>Note due to animation quality, Link Mail Archfiend’s effect text cannot be guaranteed at this time. >Link Mail Daemon (Link Mail Archfiend) >Link 4 DARK Cyberse Link Effect Monster >ATK 2800 >Links: Upper Left, Left, Lower Left, Right >Text Unconfirmed: >Materials: 2+ monsters including a Ritual, Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Monster(s) >(1) If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 Ritual, Fusion, Synchro or Xyz monster that you control or in your GY; all monsters your opponent controls lose ATK equal to the ATK of that monster. >(2) Monsters you control that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck cannot be destroyed by your opponent’s effects. >(3) If this card would be destroyed by battle or a card effect, you can banish 1 Ritual, Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Monster from your GY instead.
>There is also a Spell Card with an unknown name with the following very unconfirmed effect:
>Normal Spell Card >You can only activate a card with this card’s name once per turn. >(1) Banish face-down 1 monster that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set from your hand or that you control; draw (2?) cards.
>Archfiends get another "lol random" member It's aggressively mediocre, but at least we can technically summon and use it.
So basically Lighting got Windy's tard juice all over him and corrupted the guy? It's like fucked up NTR where the sweet girl because a dark skined gyaru cumslut but it's a dude but dammit do i hate this revlation, it basically means the windy we've come to know is not him at all which means he's gonna be a whiny bitch about deep sixing his partner or..in typical vrains fashion it might turn out the partner isn't dead because that's how vrains does arcs they make it look like something horrible that can't be taken back is happening then at the end it's all reversed and we have a bunch of new characters doing fuck all nonsense.
We already got that trademark yoshida line last week didn't we? This makes Lighting even more boring because the dude was born an evil asshole rather than becoming that way through his life's experiences. Guess SOL technologies will be the final boss and Queen will turn out to be nothing but a lazy bitch whose either doing this all for the love of someone or someone is manipulating her
That doesn't look like Jin at all, but in a good way because he looks hotter here. Also I like that their tie colors reflect their attribute.
Christian Gutierrez
>That piano note when Bohman lands in the recap I don't know why I found that so cute.
Ayden James
First half of 5D's was good. Second half, even with canon, is shit aside from Crash Town, Placido, and Arc Cradle.
We've had Vector Scare Daemon as well. Cyberse takes inspiration from other types.
Grayson Gonzalez
reminder that revolver had game even after using a new trash card and the only reason why lightning survives another week is because of that failure jin
Leo Fisher
>This makes Lighting even more boring because the dude was born an evil asshole rather than becoming that way through his life's experiences. Being evil because of someone else is so common in yugioh that it should be noted as default.
Charles Davis
We call that tactics.
Henry Price
He's an anti-villain, someone who is portrayed as an antagonist/villain with some heroic qualities. They are more evil and selfish than good, but they do have some inner good within them that motivates them. Anti-villains are almost depicted in a negative light, but they usually have some tragedy that makes you feel sorry for them and see them as slightly less evil.
Anti-heroes are generally heroic and "good" characters that have some evil or selfishness within them. They may be assholes or jerks, but their overall motives are good and they fiercely protect their loved ones. They are usually depicted in a positive light when facing a much more evil antagonist, and in a negative light when facing a protagonist.
As examples of anti-heroes and anti-villains:
Kaiba (anti-hero), Malik (anti-villain) Edo (anti-hero), Amon (anti-villain) Jack (anti-hero), Goodwin (anti-villain) Nasch/Shark (anti-hero), Vector (anti-villain) Reiji (anti-hero), Leo (anti-villain) GO Onizuka (anti-hero), Revolver (anti-villain)
Brody Garcia
more like cheating
Jaxson Allen
>Spend tons of episode building towards a secret underground prison/labor camp >Turns out everyone knew and no one gave a shit >Everyone breaks out of prison in a single episode WHY EVEN HAVE AN UNDERGROUND PRISON NO ONE CARED AND IT DIDNT MATTER
So it looks like Windy’s origin was the third kid. Someone post the pic where the kids are all lined up
Jose Wright
>Revolver about to kill Lighting >some stupid hostage situation >despite it being fucking "we don't negotiate with AI" revolver, he hesitates >will probably job again after this. God fucking damnit. Atleast he was super cool this episode.
Noah Wilson
GET DUNKED ON, SHITVULVAFAG!
Easton Bennett
For Firewall Xceed. >Xceed gets protection from effect destruction >Your opponents monsters all lose 4500 ATK >People still won't touch Xceed
Eli Martin
At least on a technical level, he's 'beaten' Lighting. I'm okay with that.
just hope that Rokkets/ Dark Dragon becomes a playable deck in the near future.
Ian Jones
i mean, why would you do that if you can just REMOVE the monster from the field instead? it is retarded.
Eli Butler
DARK Dragon will always be playable. I think Rokkets fell into the same trap Crystal Beasts did, where they can add a ton of great support, but since they can't add new Main Deck monsters, it's permanently hobbled. I guess they just gave up.
Carson Morgan
Must've gotten handlooped by Gumblar dragon as well before he got banned in the TCG.
>Doesn't even bother to Extra Link Revolver at all I can't believe Lightning is THIS retarded, I mean, how can you lose with your own stronger Firewall clone, seriously?
They could definitely print new monsters for Rokkets I think, unlike crystal beasts where the number of monsters with different names are capped out, you could 100% print new rokkets with different effects when they pop.
I thought Wind was the fourth roll of the Judgment Dice... Okay, someone fucked up.
Angel Martin
I think immediate float effects would be a bit much
Doesn't stop them from a printing a rokket that when popped specials 2 rokkets from deck.
If rokkets got monsters that were play extenders and a link 1 that pops 1 to summon 1 from deck we might be able to make an okay archtype.
Nathan Perez
>Gouki retardness of plussing + E Tele + QP Draw Spell + Guardragon + All Dark Attribute
Michael Butler
That was debunked anyway the moment water was 2 on the dice.
Parker Diaz
That fourth kid does not look like the windy dude. I bet it's completely random.
Jaxon Cooper
or fire is the fourth kid.
Matthew Morris
You say that like there's anything to look at. Aside from Miyu they're all just blobby silhouettes, of course it's more logical to go by the numbers the show straight up gives us.
Dylan Ward
How? I thought only Ai's number was revealed among the Ignis. His attribute's roll is six, so I assumed that every Ignis' number also corresponded with the dice result for their respective attribute.
You're also assuming that actually means something in the number order.
Ian Clark
>sorry, don't have it
Robert James
You're missing the point, user. He's entirely focused on getting Judgment Arrows, to the point that he'll give his opponent 3 free spaces to search for it and cripple Colosseum to get it back. That's the irony of the card, that he created it to move forward but his obsession with it is holding him back. Compare that to Bohman, who will try to protect it, but just kinda shrugs and keeps going after it's removed.
To be fair even if they're labeled with a certain number it doesn't mean their origin was necessarily captured in that order. Could be an order of what was coded first.
Wyatt Roberts
>Doesn't stop them from a printing a rokket that when popped specials 2 rokkets from deck. No, but the fact that they're bullets kinda does. >Borreload Dragon, shoot me so I can bleed Rokkets! Buy Rokkets, kids!
Luis Rivera
We all thought Windy was Vector, but he was more like Alito. The feels.
Luke Bennett
This is endgame for season 3 of vrains. Everyone but the ignis rangers get ditched.
Oliver Foster
Holy shit. The writing is much better than I thought. Lightning's obsession with doing things a certain way ironically made him much more vulnerable.
>Thinking Windy's partner is still alive >Thinking Jin and Miyu are actually going to duel >Thinking Spectre will team up with the good guys
Christian Phillips
You said it yourself, Windy's number is confirmed to be 3, which it isn't on the dice, so the dice theory is already off.
As for the kids during the LI, yeah it's just deduction. But there's no reason to disbelieve that the kids wouldn't be numbered sequentially, so I'll stick with that for now.
Jonathan Nelson
Being based of different types of ammuntion still gives us some room for play extending effects, we could have a Flare based rokket to search shit.
If that's too much we're stuck with link monsters to be the "guns" and need to give them a way to either search a bunch of rokkets or a way summon them directly from deck.
>Dislike your boss using a hostage >Decide to kill the hostage Based Bohman.
Caleb Bailey
Never going to be printed
Kevin Gutierrez
>3+ "Armatos Legio" monsters >Once while face-up on the field: You can target cards on the field and/or GY up to the number of monsters co-linked to this card; return them to the hand. If your opponent activates a Link Monster's effect while this card is linked (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. You can only use this effect of "Armatos Legio Magnus Dux" once per turn.
He's Reira, has autism and Ryogan lured him into his father's clutches and feels guilty again so he's gonna "lose" because he can't bare to harm this kid anymore than he already has.
Jose Fisher
Reira?
Thomas Lopez
He's the first victim that Kogami snatched. Something something Jin wasn't actually duelling an AI during the incident, he was duelling Kogami. Then both their duel data fused into what became Lightning.
Gavin Myers
Reira, the girl from arc-v who constantly looked on the verge of a meltdown
>Yuya and Yuzu along with their fragments are Zarc and Ray's fragments >Somehow Zarc and Ray are now officially canon dead because Yuya and Yuzu reincarnated with the souls of their fragments in their bodies and because Reira laughing at Yuya and Reji's duel Zarc's spirit passes on peacefully
>Hanoi is good >Ignis is good And next season they'll be playing the "SOL IS BAD" card, pretending they also won't get redeemed next year.
Noah Carter
I think Dr. Kogami is still technically considered bad from some standpoints.
Owen Rogers
Who? Ai said it was because they thought Lightning was "elite", to which Revolver asked what made them think so, and Ai had no answer to that. So really, Lightning probably acted smug, elected himself, and they all just went along with it.
Sebastian Garcia
He did it all so the kids could befriend the Ignis! They've found their lifelong friends, and Kogami is a good daddy who helped them!
Because Konami loves to bully Archfiends at every opportunity.
Your definitions are off. An antihero doesn't care about doing good, unless they personally stand to lose something. They're not heroic, but neither are they evil. They're out for themselves. An antivillain is someone who cares about the greater good, but will do terrible things to achieve that greater good in mind. Just as antiheroes aren't good, antivillains aren't evil.
It's a shame Armatos is likely to get skipped for printing. Magnus Dux makes for a solid boss.
How did I never realize the fetish potential for Comic Hand before now?
Jose Gray
>main antagonists don't get their archetypes printed >Dinowrestlers get printed >Marincess exists, gets printed, and makes Aoi look like an idiot for changing her deck's Attribute knowing full well it opens her up to get fucked by Hydradrive
Asher Cooper
But did she know it would get fucked up by Hydradrive? She was never around for any of the Bowman fights Half the time we call her a retard, it's from them not being around to know the thing people are screaming about
Tyler Walker
>hydradrive are reduced to loldice >stormriders are fun but windy's a side villain >armatos legios rely on judgement arrows
Josiah Bell
Don't be stupid user. Bohman would just use judgment dice against something like trickstars or rokkets. Only the protagonist can win.
Mason Wilson
When she dueled Haru there was some dialogue showing she was aware of Bohman playing Hydradrive, which says that Yusaku and the others shared info before the final battle. Either it's a miscommunication and Yusaku might have told her "it works against specific Attributes" without mentioning that Hydradrive doesn't hit LIGHT and DARK so Aoi assumed any mono-attribute deck will be just as hard to work with or she made a dumb move in changing her deck to one that gets more easily stunned for purely sentimental reasons.
We know how good Yusaku is at communicating It was probably the former
Henry Fisher
They don't give a fuck about those details and neither should you. She was going to use the cards she liked whether or not they're a good match up or not. Any other duelist besides Blood Shepherd would do the same. This show isn't about deck building.
Brayden Garcia
>100 episodes in >aoi still have no idea who playmaker is
Owen Taylor
Now if it's ever going to happen, it's going to be near the end as a whole. So much for their real life interaction.
Owen Ross
Neither does Akira, Go, or Emma. And Go had an AI in his head.
Lincoln Ramirez
>And Go had an AI in his head. Earth never knew who was Playmaker either, though.
Gabriel Flores
You think he might have used his intelligence to find playmaker. Because he wouldn't be able to duel him if he couldn't find him. We know Flame found Ai.
Ayden Smith
Maybe Flame was smarter than Earth. See Earth literally whent to VRAINS' Yea Forums and wait for AI to see the message.
Brandon Garcia
>Maybe Flame was smarter than Earth. That doesn't really mean anything when you add in the human brain element into the mix.
Alexander Robinson
The Ignis being able to track each other and Aoi not figuring it out makes me think this entire arc from Blood Shepherd on takes place during a holiday/week long vacation
Liam Moore
Aoi didn't want to find Playmaker's identity after she got Aqua.
Connor Lopez
How many episodes until we get Miyu's and Windy's Partner's perspective of the lost incident?
>Miyu's Maybe next cour after she transfer schools >Windy's Partner's As soon as Windy come back, or playmaker learn to use a ouija board.
Julian Scott
>after she transfer schools We already have a token school girl. Do we really need Rio 2.0? >As soon as Windy come back, or playmaker learn to use a ouija board. As cool as that sounds, he's probably still alive.
Aaron Phillips
>will revolver kill one dude to literally SAVE ALL OF HUMANITY >gosh I wonder
Ayden Sanders
He has to be bailed out by bohman, he won't actually attack.
Josiah Carter
post yfw MINDO CURASHU
Luis Kelly
>Revolver's used up his meme trap and new monster already >one more episode He's not making it out of the fight
He won't be stopped until he goes all the way back to using old good cards that aren't good any more and makes a big dramatic reveal of "I SUMMON MECHANICALCHASER!"
Jason Rodriguez
I don't wanna watch a GX plot. Besides Bushiroad can't even keep animation studios from being sold off, I don't trust them with any anime. The manga will make up for it soraposter.
Nicholas King
I miss Kitamura. When are we going to get Kitamura?
Parker Reyes
I tought Kai Aichi was the main ship? When did it get so het? Not that I mind that much because I like Aichi Misaki aswell.
Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell would have ended the duel.
James Scott
Being made of people's consciousnesses means it'll probably look horrifying. Or like a brain.
Adam Smith
Reception's mixed due to less focus on the game at the start of his run, but it picks up a lot after the issue is dealt with I'd say watch it as they do a very good job developing the cast and its themes
Alexander Wright
Yes, it's the best one. The comfy first season is great for character development.
Sebastian Robinson
vrains really likes to go out of the way to reuse stuff.
>Season 3 reveals Windy was really behind everything, but allowed himself to be manipulated to manipulate Lightning and was just pretending to be bad at the game
Nathaniel Thompson
Anyone else sick of Yoshida's style of redeeming everybody he can except the very last boss? Dude can't let people stay evil except the all black wearing super evil
Julian Russell
>armatos gloria on the field means borreload will not be banished due to xcharge's effect wow fucking lightning managed to help revolver even more, first 3 link arrows, then 2 draws, now borreload won't even be banished, if revolver still can't win then he's the most pathetic duelist ever
Ryder Jackson
>Scene contains no lapdance or assertion of dominance Ping
Its funny how Lightning went from first turn Extra Link while also preparing a +3 as followup for the next turn to "shit boss monster pass, sacrifice everything for meme arrows".
Joseph Jones
There's the Hanoi grunts, Bitboot, Specter is still bad, Kitamura, I wouldn't be surprised if the some of the SOL executives were rotten to the core, and Windy hasn't been redeemed just revealed as a pawn.
Samuel Baker
the trap lightning played last week >Cards on the field cannot be destroyed by other cards' effects, also neither player can banish cards on the field. If a card or effect is activated that targets this face-up card: Destroy all monsters you control.
Jackson Young
Ah I thought the card count was slightly mistaken. Thanks
lightning didn't technically lose but he was about to because he had no response to counter revulva's plays this reminds me of the time rules irl where you can win in time if your lp is higher than the opponent and even if they have the outs and don't do them quickly they lose
They should have spent 3 episodes on the playmaker vs go onizuka duel instead of this.
Henry Ramirez
will we even get a Vrains manga at this point?
Owen Clark
Did they announce the Arc-V manga before the ZEXAL one finished?
Oliver Carter
That was just passed down from Takahashi, don't blame him.
Dylan Taylor
I kinda like it, because it shows a pretty nice thing of people realizing they're wrong and changing, it's a pretty easy way for character development, it's kind of a waste to kill off a character who could be used to shill more cards.
Wyatt Campbell
Quite a few characters died without being redeemed like pegasus or keith. It's the anime that started redeeming a lot more people other than the protagonist.
Tyler Harris
Revolver using Mind Crush and Lightning bringing Jin out of his mental prison to use him as a human shield. What an ep.
But what the hell is this shit? The last few seconds of the preview completely spoil the ending of the next episode. Bohman absorbing Lightning means that Revolver is going to defeat him, thereby terminating him. The season will then end with a 3- (possibly 4-) parter in which Playmaker defeats Bohman to save za warudo.
The only thing we're left guessing about is Jin's fate. Why? Do they think spoiling the next ep themselves is going to get this show's ratings up?
Bohman's absorbing Jin's data, not agreeing with Lightning's unfair tactics.
Oliver Hughes
>Bohman absorbing Lightning means that Revolver is going to defeat him, thereby terminating him. That seems presumptuous, the point of that is bohman is trying to keep him from being a dirty cheater, not revealing the conclusion of the deal. I don't think Bohman will allow Revolver to destroy Lightning in any case.
Landon Watson
It'd be better if there was some natural progression instead of "sudden new piece of information or out of character moment magically changes said evil character into a dindu in the span of an episode"
Ethan Hill
Well it's not hard to realize you're wrong when you're beaten by someone with a different viewpoint.
But yeah, it's often not done as well as it should be.
Brandon Robinson
I don't think windy has progressed out of being evil by any means though. He'd still be evil if he was brought back right now.
Jaxon Johnson
>Nasch/Shark (anti-hero)
Nasch is literally an antagonist though.
Jordan Smith
Yeah but he fought against tron, faker, heartland, vector, and don thousand like everyone else.
Ryder Jenkins
You know that guy who made it work by remaining an evil scumbag even after learning that he wasn't always an evil scumbag.
Charles Gutierrez
Yeah, Vector didn't have much introspection after he learned he wasn't always evil. At best he only didn't drag yuma down in his last acts. He even acted sort of like a scumbag in the last scene.
Bentley Evans
Bohman's moralism will get in the way of a perfectly good cheat. This is despite the fact that his luck power is arguably a cheat.
>lightning >cheat he's just playing at a handicap right now, he literally is giving revolver free stuff and revolver still can't win
Levi Morales
Just because his cards have drawbacks doesn't mean he's playing at a handicap.
Parker Allen
no he's literally playing at handicap >giving revolver free arrows >giving revolver free draw 2 >nullifying xcharge dragon's drawback
Isaiah Howard
So wait, if suddenly the Ignis weren't evil, then what did Kogami even watched? Are the people behind this even aware? Also Lightning being absorbed like that sounds like a really cheap movement. God I just want VRAINS to end early my mind can't proceed all of this... At least give Emma some time to shine again. Revolver being here at least easy the pain, too.
Why the fuck did you come back when you're so fucking stupid that you SOMEHOW can't even comprehend whats going on or don't even like the show to begin with?
Caleb Carter
>what did Kogami even watch A simulation with every Ignis in it. Lightning corrupts them all and it causes the end of humanity. Individually, the Ignis (except Lightning) are fine >Also Lightning being absorbed like that sounds like a really cheap movement. I think just Jin is getting absorbed so that Revolver and Lightning fight fairly. Bohman is autistic about fighting fair despite having weighted dice
The last episode said Lightning was the evil source in a lot of detail too.
Josiah Rodriguez
>using a Season 0 reference in Vrains
Never thought I'd see the day
Jace Taylor
Bohman only cheats with his dice because he thinks he needs RNG to duel well by diversifying his strategies but didn't add in an RNG that lets him diversify his strategy.
>A simulation with every Ignis in it. Lightning corrupts them all and it causes the end of humanity. Individually, the Ignis (except Lightning) are fine >The last episode said Lightning was the evil source in a lot of detail too. I should start to pay more attention, but it's hard when I am not enjoying it. Thanks. user, you spell burn wrong.
No he was doing that when Aqua found him, it looks like he's doing something else.
Brody Lee
Nasch isn't an antagonist. He fought reluctantly against Yuma and the others to save his people, his sister, and the Barian World. He had noble intentions and did a last-resort option. He was extremely loyal and kind to his fellow Barians, and even used a card that signified their strong bond and wishes against Yuma/Astral in the last duel. I used Nasch/Shark over the more apparent anti-hero (Kite) to contrast him with his nemesis and foil, Vector, a clear anti-villain.
A true antagonist is Don Thousand, as he fucked over everyone for his own selfish ends without any of the sympathy and tragedy that comes from anti-villains.

>Somehow Zarc and Ray are now officially canon dead because Yuya and Yuzu reincarnated with the souls of their fragments in their bodies and because Reira laughing at Yuya and Reji's duel Zarc's spirit passes on peacefully To be fair Zarc forgot how to laugh and the only thing he could do was feeling excitement and ectasy with his killing power and stuff. Plus babies in general are the most pure human beings. Yeah, it wasn't really well implemented, but at least it does make sense at some point.
Jose Sanders
The thing with Vector is that he suffered a total personality shift through Don Thousand's shenanigans, whereas the other Barian Emperors save Nasch basically just had their negative emotions amplified through fake grudges. Telling him that he used to be different when he's not the same person anymore wasn't going to be meaningful, so he didn't change from that.
The actually important part wasn't that Vector was good deep down inside or that he used to be a kind soul, or anything like that, but that Yuma's continued belief in him enabled him to become a better person. Like some of ZEXAL's other villains who turned good.
I hate when the anime makes characters repeatedly use gimped versions of already mediocre cards just because it lets them have dramatic battle phases. At least Half Unbreak isn't as common as Hero Barrier I guess.
>same bright light used in the future duels >activated on attack declaration >destroyed all attack position monsters on the field that's enough proof, where's your proof that it isn't?
A lot of cards are really bright, a lot of cards are activated on attack declaration, and a lot of cards destroy monsters.
Oliver Brown
where's your proof? show it to me, or else fuck off you retard
Matthew Reed
>lost so bad and so consistently to Despair from the Dark that it gave him PTSD >ends up playing one of the top meta decks of his series Soulburner really managed a 180.

There's nothing definitive. And that's that.
Jackson Morales

Luke Brown
And an actual blind dumbass in denial to close out the thread. Wonders never cease. Well it's been fun, have a good night everyone.
Gavin Ross
Who cares about Mirror Force nowadays even? Its not like Revolver uses it anymore
>lose a couple times to Playmaker >"Better throw away my career and start plugging computers into my brain for revenge against this guy who five minutes ago I was friends with" Onizuka might be the worst sore loser in the franchise.
Anthony Thomas
roachniggers forever btfo, can't provide proofs, still seething literally 1 year after being btfo by mirror force

>If you Tribute Summon a DARK or WIND monster: You can Special Summon this card from your GY (if it was there when you Summoned), or hand (even if not). >Even if not What the fuck, "Summon if from your hand even if it isn't in your hand?" I think I get what it's saying but that's confusing as hell phrasing. So what WIND tribute Summon monsters could add this card on summon such that that "even if not" clause would be relevant?
Liam Gomez
When you go to school tomorrow, ask one of your handlers to explain what "facetious" means.
Wyatt Russell
where are your proofs? still waiting
William Cook
He would have said Kusanagi. No he's talking about his whole team.
Anthony Jackson
Good job misinterpreting his words idiot, Playmaker and Kusanagi is the team he's talking about.
Camden Clark
Pretty sure he went on a rant about soulburner and blue maiden in the same scene. He doesn't need revenge for himself here anyway.
Gavin Campbell
He doesn't care about those two jobbers, just stop already
