I usually don't buy many figures outside an extreme few at cons, but recently there's a figure releasing of a pretty obscure character that I really want and I've only been able to find a pre-order with Play-Asia. I've read the guide but I couldn't find anything on how they handle their pre-orders. Has anyone here pre-ordered with them before? Do they hold all the funds up front, or do they charge with shipment? I know it'll be a long long time before I even get the figure but I don't want to miss this chance.

I've never been to japan and still have almost 600 doujins, the only thing you miss are character goods which are personally sold by the circle's booth but you can make do without owning them.

You can, maybe I exaggerated when I mentioned "tags" but you can definitely add artists and/or circles to an alert list on either store and you'll get notified immediately when they restock or add new items. I usually add alert for both, you'll only get 1 notification even if both match. Sometimes, circles release goods without the artist being directly involved and you want to get notified on it too.

I lived at home until about 24 but then it just became unbearable. No one helped keep up things at my parents house. It was dusty, the bathrooms smelled like mold, and the house in general was falling apart on top of my schizo sister moving back in and not leaving me alone. Moved out with a roommate but they were a fat lazy shit that racked up the electricity bill and moved a dude in so I just jumped ship to another state completely. Easy enough yea, just be careful you don't lose any of the small parts. But occasionally you'll get one where you have a hard time inserting the back peg or removing something. In which case heating up the troublesome part with a hair dryer or some hot water should solve any problem.

It's an interesting take on the "boy meets robowaifu" thing that was done to death in the late 90s. They explore stuff like AI, social engineering, large scale automation, and android laborers, and how all that meshes politically. Unfortunately the pacing is very slow and the animation goes into heavy QUALITY territory in the second half. It was a disastrously troubled production with 4 recap episodes, and the ending episodes were delayed into another season.
I personally enjoyed it but it's not something I can recommend without caveats.

i made the mistake of starting when i already had 500 doujins and scanning, reverse image searching, then filling out all the fields for 500+ doujins in one go is fucking awful
but doing it 50 at a time after each purchase is much more manageable
